This house is absolutely amazing! The staff is amazing! The view is amazing! The wildlife we saw from our deck is amazing! Monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots, owl, iguanas!! Beds were comfortable! I cannot say enough about this place - the food was beyond amazing!! I would not leave for any meals other than chef’s one night off!! Please go to this place as soon as you can!! Be sure you order the churros for dessert - we had them twice!

Highly recommend!
Had a wonderful stay with my 24 family members in this beautiful villa. The rooms were very nice and large, own bathrooms, thermostat for each room, good water pressure and temperature. The gathering areas were large enough for all to hang out and not feel crowded. We enjoyed the bar area, infinity pool, and large kitchen. We utilized the house's personal chef Kenneth and team - incredibly fresh food, very tasty and flavorful, great varieties. They were very kind and accommodating, predicting our needs. The housekeepers kept the home clean and tidy each day, they did their work quickly and quietly. The house's concierge Susan answered ALL of our questions in a timely manner and perfectly coordinated all activities and excursions that we wanted to do. The hike to the beach was a little difficult (downhill) but only about 10-15 minutes. The water was an enjoyable temperature in July. The hillside town had a few restaurants and souvenir shops, walkable or a $5 taxi ride. Or for a longer ride, the town of Quepos had much more shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay so much we are considering coming back!

Vista Hermosa Dream Vacation
I simply don't know where to begin as there are no sufficient words to describe Vista Hermosa, the staff, etc. This was by far the best home we have ever vacationed at and everyone involved in making it that way deserves only the highest accolades. We arrived as a multigenerational group of 23 people to the most beautiful setting and a home in pristine condition. Views of the Pacific were to die for from the back of the home and the infinity pool. The home is spacious and provided more than enough room for our group to never feel crowded or on top of each other. Daily maid service/housekeeping was a treat. Both bath towels and pool/beach towels were washed daily and personal laundry service was avail Tues & Thurs. With that being said, the house keepers also washed our personal laundry on Fri and sent us home with little/no dirty laundry! :) Breakfast & dinner was prepared daily by Chef Kenneth & his team and we didn't have a meal that fell short of a 5 star experience. The food was fresh, delicious and presented beautifully. We had several food restrictions within our group & Chef Kenneth & his team met the needs of our GF members, dairy/egg allergies and our vegetarian. Our group fished for tuna one morning & successfully caught 20+ tuna. Chef Kenneth prepared several versions of tuna from our fresh catch including tuna tartar, sushi, tuna steak, sashimi, etc. Susan was fantastic as the concierge and met all of our needs without question. She is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and organized. She makes the entrée process run seamlessly from start to finish. Susan organized all the details regarding travel/transportation, excursions, etc. Several in our group booked massages and the therapists came to the home and did the massages overlooking the Pacific. Thankfully, we didn't have to bother her with any maintenance issues but the home does provide a maintenance that checks in daily & is avail to fix things as needed. Though we never felt unsafe, an armed security guard does sit in front of the home nightly. Wildlife was abundant at the house- we saw 3 species of monkeys, a mama sloth & her new baby, 2 pairs of Macaw, a pair of Toucans, lizards, etc right from the deck. If I can encourage you to be a guest at this home, DO IT! Book your vacation TODAY. I promise, you will not regret it! Villa Hermosa is a home like no other. Our family cannot wait to visit again in the future!

A Spectacular Visit to Vista Hermosa Villa, Manual Antonio, Costa Rica
Never was there a vacation for 11 people that was without stress or discomfort. We just got back from Vista Hermosa Villa in Manual Antonio, Costa Rica. The only word to best describe the house was "perfect." Every detail was attended to. The amazing chef created breakfast and dinner for us each day. Tours were organized for us so we could go to the national park, zip lines and river cruise, as well as staying at the house
because no one wanted to leave it. The infinity pool was a huge plus as well as the beautiful bedrooms. We had a movie night (Back to the Future) and played Hearts.
The house was within walking to the beach. One of our sons rented a surf board and was out surfing every morning around 6 am. Monkeys welcomed us in the trees around the house, but also kept their distance. A sloth was in one of the trees, as well as colorful parrots. One the chefs night off, we discovered Namasti Indian Restaurant and had the most delicious meal ever. In additional to the usual Mango Lasse, they made coconut and strawberry Lasses as well. It was a real highlight.
The only issue was the fact that the only non stop flight from LA was an overnighter, which put is into Costa Rica at 4:30 am. A van picked us up and drove us down to the house (a ride that took several hours). We stopped for lunch along the way and observed a massive crocodile in a nearby river bank. So happy to finally arrive at the house and to find it so comfortable and beautiful. It doesn't get any better than this!!!

Pura Vida 2024 !!
Rooms are nice and cool and the beds are perfect. Slept like a king every night. Susan and staff are incredible. ADR adventure is a must.
Get your fitness up as you will need it for hiking down to the beach and back along with traveling up and down the stairs.
The view is unbelievable
This place is truly Pura Vida
My family and kids loved being there
The pool is epic

I hosted a retreat at Vista Hermosa and everything and everyone went above and beyond what I ever dreamed of. From the beautiful villa with pristine views and amenities to our experiences and interactions with the owner, concierge, chef, and staff, our group felt immersed in immaculate luxury from start to finish. Unbeatable Luxury Vacation -
I wish I could give a ten star rating. This was a first class luxury experience. We booked Vista Hermosa Estate nearly seven months before our arrival. The owner, Dave, and concierge, Susan, made the entire process so smooth and simple. They were thoughtful and extremely accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about this estate and the staff.
We had a very large group (18 people) and they were able to manage all our needs. The house layout was so well thought out. All of the guest rooms are on the lower levels with all of the common areas being on the top floor.
The housekeepers clean daily and do your personal laundry twice a week. Maintenance is onsite every day to help when needed. I think everyone’s favorite part of the estate was Chef Kenneth. He is so accommodating, fun, kind and helpful. He took so much pride in the incredible meals he prepared for us. He created an experience unlike any other. We threw a party one night and Susan helped us find a cake decorator and even had the staff string up lights for us.
The beach is just a short 10 min down a private walkway they created. The beach leads right to town which was a nice surprise. All in walking distance. We were very fortunate at the time we stayed (early September). The monkeys greeted us on the balconies every morning. They were so much fun. We were also able to see sloths, toucans and parrots all from the upper floor of the house.
It will be hard to vacation anywhere else because Vista Hermosa Estate has set the bar so high. Thank you Dave, Kenneth and Susan!

Excellent family retreat.
We have three families that all travelled separately to meet at the the Vista Hermosa. The pictures, which are amazing, do not do this house justice. The first moment you walk up the stairs (there are a lot of stairs) and take in the view across to Manuel Antonio, you know you are going to have a special week. The cousins, of all ages, were able to interact with each other, the adults were able to lounge in the pool, talk around the table, and discuss the days adventures overlooking the ocean. We were in Costa Rica during the shoulder/rainy season, and that actually added to our adventure and fun (we are from Seattle and its a completely different rain in the tropics).
There were tropical animals every day (Toucans, Monkeys of all types, Parrots, and the Chicken of the Tree). The vacation will be forever memorable and was exactly what we hoped to achieve. The unexpected benefit of having all the meals together with the amazing chef (Kenneth gets above a five star review) was the icing on the cake.
Excellent house, staff, and scenery. Once in a lifetime stuff...cannot recommend this house and location more.

Best vacation ever!
Everything about this house is wow, wow, wow - the view, the wildlife, the rooms, the pool, the food, the staff...literally everything! Susan was fantastic. She answered every text/email quickly and helped us to accommodate all our plans. Chef Kenneth was incredible. His food was as delicious as it looked! I would highly recommend this house and this staff for any vacation!

Memorable family reunion
We recently finished a 15-person family reunion at Vista Hermosa in Costa Rica, and I cannot say enough about the venue. The house is as spectacular as the photos, lovingly maintained by the staff, and our family spent hours and hours every day on the upper level in the various spaces, including the infinity pool. Bedrooms were spacious and immaculate.
But the things that made our stay uniquely special were (1) Chefs Kenneth and Nelson, with whom we met each evening to plan breakfast and dinner for the next day, which without exception were gourmet events; and (2) concierge Susan Granger, who helped plan, organize and schedule our airport transfers, six excursions for varying numbers om people, and who was available by text at practically any time to help with questions or last minute changes. Not to mention the glorious beach we had access to and the wildlife in whose home we felt very welcome guests.
Everyone in our group left longing to come back sometime in the future.

Manuel Antonio - Where the jungle meets the sea is a region best known for its gorgeous white sand beaches, world famous Manuel Antonio National Park, several multi-cultural restaurants, and abundant wildlife. Manuel Antonio has fabulous parasailing, surfing, plenty of restaurants, nightlife, awesome beaches, sportfishing, and a beautiful national park with plenty of wildlife. It is also centrally located to easily take excursions such as white-water rafting, ATV tours, kayaking, and waterfall rappelling just to mention a few. There’s a clear reason why thousands flock to the community of Manuel Antonio and Playa Espadilla with its surrounding white sands each year.

How to get there
Traveling from Juan Santamaria International Airport (San Jose Airport – SJO)
The beach town of Manuel Antonio is a wonderful seaside town located on the Pacific side and is just a 2.5 hour Drive from Costa Rica’s San Jose International Airport.
Best Time To Drive:
The ideal time to drive into Manuel Antonio is during the day. It’s a wonderful way for everyone to see the countryside. A great stop to use the restroom, stretch and see your first real taste of Costa Rican wildlife is the Rio Tarcoles bridge a.k.a. The Croc Bridge. Everyone gets a kick out of it. There are several great restaurants around the halfway point on the way to Vista Hermosa Estate.
Shuttles:
Shuttles are the most popular option. Depending on the size of your group, rates start at about $25 per person each way and can go as high as $40 for smaller groups. A shuttle ride is about a 2.5 – 3 hour ride. The Shuttle driver will wait at the airport exit holding a sign with your name. A shuttle will be reserved with plenty of room for your group and everyone’s luggage. We only hire shuttle companies that have late model airconditioned shuttles, very comfy.
Rent A Car:
If you are interested in exploring the area, a car is a great option. The drive time from San Jose is only about 2.5 hours. In recent years, Costa Rica has considerably improved the route from the capital to the central Pacific, so you’ll enjoy smooth travel along paved highways.
Flights:
The fastest way to get to Manuel Antonio from the San Jose international airport is to take a small plane flight on one of the local carriers, Sansa Airlines. They leave directly from SJO airport and land in Quepos, just 15 minutes from Manuel Antonio. Prices range from $50 if booked in advance to upwards of $150 depending on the season. These flights are fast and a fun way to see the country since they fly at a lower altitude.
Transportation Around Manuel Antonio:
If you’re deciding whether to rent a car during your stay, everything in Manuel Antonio is located along one main road so it is possible to stay in Manuel Antonio without one. You will find that taxis and taxi shuttles are abundant everywhere in Manuel Antonio. Also, a local bus runs frequently back and forth on the main road.
