Each home is close enough so everyone can dine or have evening cocktails together, but far enough away for maximum privacy. Whether your staying with a group of friends, coworkers, or with your bothers, sisters, their kids, grandma and grandpa each of you can have your own home and not get into each others hair. It is perfect for everyone. The estate is perfectly located on the main highway near all large tourist destinations in Costa Rica's Central Pacific area and are only minutes away from Carara National Park and the famous Tarcoles/Crocodile Bridge. The homes are hidden on a fully enclosed 20 acre fruit grove consisting of mango, star fruit, guava, guanabana, papaya, cashew, avocado, bananas, plantains, lemon, orange, grapefruit trees, and many more. No expense was spared on their construction. The homes are beautifully decorated in a Mediterranean/Mexican style. Pre Columbian art adorns the walls. Imported handmade Talavera tiles create a relaxing experience in the ample bathrooms. The bathrooms are furnished with Kohler faucets and baths and the towel collection that we offer is one of the thickest towels. It is 100% combed Cotton, which makes the towel extra absorbent and has superior softness; it is an extraordinary experience each time you step out of the bath. The beddings luxurious linens are splendidly crafted from cotton to a smooth heavenly finish. This makes them notorious for their supreme softness and also acts as a natural antibacterial ensuring the bed is the ultimate sanctuary. Experience the superior full kitchens stainless steel appliances signature from Frigidaire and granite counter-tops. Handmade Costa Rican furniture is found throughout. The home's entertainment systems include flat screen televisions, satellite dishes, DVD players and Wi-Fi. Green eco features include; electric tank less water heaters, fresh filtered water from a well located on the property, an eco-friendly septic tank, and all the fresh fruit you can eat right outside your front door. There is a large pool and many meandering paths with Pre Colombian statues and fountains throughout the property. An amazing amount of wildlife can be found on the property including a large troop of mantled howler monkeys as well as butterflies, turtles, red tailed squirrels, iguanas, frogs, forest rabbits, scarlet macaws as well as a variety of other seasonal tropical birds. We offer a variety of other services such as housekeeping, airport transfers, grocery stocking, catering preparations, spa services or excursions, private chefs, concierge services and a Costa Rican mobile phone can be arrange as an extra fee. Safe and inexpensive public transportation can also be found across the street. There many activities in the area including: -Zip lining -Waterfall repelling -Canopy tours -Horseback riding -ATV -Volcanos tours -Animal refuge where animals that potchers have tried to export illegally are taken to recover and then set free into the wild again. -Tortuga Island tour with catamaran boat ride to a island with beach BBQ and music. Lovely complex in the forest

This is a great place to get away from the city, and your normal day to day activities. We stayed here with a large group of family members for a birthday celebration. We rented 5 of the houses and they were all great! The houses are very nice, kitchens are well equipped, very comfortable bedrooms, nice finishes, and secluded from everything (not even signal for your cell phones!). Each house is equipped with A/C, TV (satellite) and fans. The units are apart from each other, which gives you enough privacy if you want to separate from the group, but at the same time the opportunity to spend time together at the pool, or at any of the houses. The pool are is very nice, clean, and with a "clubhouse" that gives the feeling of an old Spanish "hacienda". The houses are not on the beach, in fact, the closes beach is about 15-20 minutes drive. This wasn't an issue for us, but if you are looking for a beach house this is not it. Please note that the houses are in the middle of the jungle, so you will have mosquitoes on the patio/deck areas. For the most part you don't get any mosquitoes inside the houses, but again, you are in the middle of the forest and you might get some small bugs. Garrett is a great host, very responsive to any of our requests and willing to make out stay as comfortable as possible. Overall, greatly recommended; specially if you want so get away from the noise of the city, or the beach.

Hello R. Family, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As you know reviews are an important part of prospective guests decision process. We also wanted to thank you for leaving the houses, 20 acre grounds, and the pool area/outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and bbq clean. It is so nice to have guests that are respectful of other people's property. I apologize for the delayed times getting to the beach. The beaches are not far, but as you know lots of locals visit them on the weekends and this can cause a lot of congestion and varied driving times on the 2 lane route 34. Fortunately since the property is located right off the 34 guests can check the traffic fairly easily and stay at the pool or grab a bit to eat at one of the many restaurants within walking distance if they choose. Costa Rica is an amazing tropical getaway for people from all over the world. Like most tropical countries we do have some mosquitos. Thank goodness the locals have taken every precaution to spray/fumigate and educate the entire country. It makes me proud to live in a country that takes such good care of its residents and visitors. Thank you again for staying with us. We hope to see all of you again soon.

Families will love it

Costa Rica amazes us. Into the forest we found this luxury private estate. We are a large family group and felt in love immediately with this beautiful property. All the nature, the howler monkeys, the fruits, the scarlet macaws, the birds; our children learned so much, they discovered Mother Earth for the first time in Costa Rica. This property is so family friendly, it's SAFE, the manager is American and his wife is Costa Rican, they know the area very well and they understanded us(tourists), they gave us the best tips(hidden beaches, farmers markets, delicious bakeries) even reserved the nicest tours for all of us at not extra charge. Nearby we found a lot of local fruit stands, typical food and mini markets. Everything is there and helped us to avoid to much time on the road. It was truly the most exciting vacation that our 18 family members have ever taken. The large and comfortable nice houses in the property, the friendly manager and his wife, the surroundings, everything. I will recommend this place for large groups or families who are looking for more adventure than the boring all inclusive resorts. It was the vacation that my family will never forget. Thanks you G for being so accommodating to all of us!!!

About the neighborhood

We are located on the main highway (route 34). There are 10 restaurants, 4 small markets, 8 farmers stands, 2 ice cream parlors, 1 gas station, and several souvenir shops all within 1 kilometer of the property (approval .6 miles). We are centrally located near all large tourist destinations in Costa Rica. You can go to everywhere, except to the Caribbean Coast, on either 1/2 day or full day tours.

Getting around

If you are adventuresome and want to explore Costa Rica a car is recommend. Public transportation picks up and drops off directly across the street. Public Transportation is safe, reliable, and economical. It does take a bit longer to get to places with the stops. Private transportation is also available. I can arrange for any transportation needs you may have. All of the tour companies pick up and drop off at the property as well.
