Treat the property as if it were your home. No pool or Congo Lounge access after 10pm. No smoking inside the unit. Be mindful of other guests. No pets. Zorro is my dog, a small terrier who is on-site mascot of the property, who keeps Denis the caretaker company. Please do not let him in your condo and please do not feed him or let him off the property. Please be mindful of turning off the air conditioning when you are not in the condo and do not run the a/c with windows or doors open.

Fantastic property with a beautiful ocean view
The property is very well maintained and the staff are excellent and very responsive. It is just a short walk to a beautiful beach that is great for swimming, surfing and snorkelling . Samara is a wonderful community. The people are great with lots of restaurants and stores to buy fresh food if you want to prepare your own meals. We will definitely coming back!

Exceptional Stay
I've travelled a great deal through central and south america and have stayed at numerous rentals, hotels, airbnb's etc.. I've known a lot of places that show great pics online but in reality, only offer mediocre amenities. In the case of AltaVista I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The building / apartments are really well maintained and are NICER even than what's pictured. The view from the place are amazing, especially from the 4th floor 'lounge' where I spent a lot of time reading, drinking wine and relaxing. I completely fell in love w/ the vibe in Samara and will make it a return destination for sure. Overall I'd say I highly recommend AltaVista. You can't go wrong with this place.

Beautiful facility, close to the beach, great views. We did not have any issues with any of the facilities.

Incredible! Perfect! Pura Vida!
Whether you want to relax on the beach, tour the peninsula, visit the rainforest, walk on an active volcano, surf some of the best breaks this Earth has to offer, make Alta Vista Condominiums your home base. You will not be disappointed and I guarantee you will be planning your return visit before you depart. It is truly "Pura Vida".

Condo Begonia truly has an "Alta Vista"
Condo Begonia is on the 2nd floor at Alta Vista Condos in Samara. Begonia deserves a "5" because it is authentically as-advertised, clean, and comfortable.
>Every unit has access to open outdoor space - most with 2 balconies.
>The rooftop is open to everyone with nicely arranged furniture (you can get a local to do massages up there).
>The view of the beach is across a horse pasture.
>The beach is <5 minutes away and town is another 5 minutes down the beach.
>The on-site maintenance people are responsive, helpful, and kind (like Samara in general).
>The plunge pool is not big enough to swim, but certainly feels good in the heat of midday.
Notes: Smoking is allowed only outside and not near the pool. You will need to climb the outdoor stairs - no elevator - but the hosts will help with luggage as needed.
We plan on being back!

Another Fabulous Stay
This is our third year in a row staying in the Begonia unit at the Alta Vista Condominiums- and will definitely not be our last visit. Highly recommend staying here or any of the other units. The units are spacious and well-appointed. A great place to return to at the end of the day — or middle of the day, for a nap- after a quick dip in the plunge pool! The owner (Patrick), property manager (Laura), and caretaker (Dennis) are great to deal with and can answer any questions before or during your trip. It is in a great loacation just outside of main Samara area, but everything you need within walking distance. And the view... every morning we were up well before sunrise to enjoy the view from the balcony.
