This place was impeccable. We booked via VRBO and the property manager was Special Places of Costa Rica. The place had all the comforts of home and we had our own concierge, Kevin who helped us enjoy everything in town including the fancy beach club.

Gorgeous and safe base for Costa Rica adventures
We were first time visitors to Costa Rica and our stay here made “Pura Vida” relaxing and memorable! The drive from airport was easy and the accommodations are superb. Tastefully and elegantly minimalist decor with all the amenities you need! Beds are extra comfy...the balcony a great place to take in a beautiful "paradise view" and enjoy morning coffee or afternoon apps and drinks. The grounds are breathtaking and constantly maintained…the pools gorgeous and the “tiki hut” serves great food and drink with super service. Great place to get in morning or evening walks. We spotted iguanas, geckos, unique birds and even a raccoon on a night walk. It’s very safe and so is the town of Playas del Coco with its numerous restaurants, bars and markets. The beach is a short walk and local families and tourists enjoy the black sand and surf. We also paid the fee and enjoyed Pacifico Beach Club where we had massages, enjoyed more pools right on the beach and a delicious dinner. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Bank, drugstore, grocery, ice cream shop, coffee shop, even Subway (lol) are next door. Highly recommend learning a few useful Spanish phrases as the local folks seem to appreciate that and everyone reciprocates by communicating back with whatever degree of English they know.

This place is a 10/10!
From our first step onto the property of the Pacifico, we were greeting with nothing but kindness and patience from the staff. The condo is spacious, welcoming, clean and very relaxing. It was the perfect place to come back to after a full day of exploring and eating. The recommendations ours hosts left for food and activities were 100% spot on! From the Red Snapper at Hermosa beach to the National Park at Rincon del la Vieja, the food and experiences were like no other. The location of the Pacifico is another perk. The beach, restaurants, grocery stores and shops for souvenirs are all within walking distance. It was a great way to explore Costa Rica by foot. Lastly, I would 100% recommend heading to the Pacifico Beach Club. Not only was the shuttle ride provided by the facility but the pool, beach and views were amazing.
Having never been to Costa Rica before, I feel in love with it. I attribute that to the overall experience our hosts helped provide. I would recommend it to anybody.

Spectacular Property!!!
This condo is amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by its elegant design. It's modern and new with a balcony that overlooks the Pacifco grounds, a perfect place to ponder the adventures of the day while enjoying breakfast.
Pacifico is breathtaking, like a botanical garden. It contains a massive serpentine like pool with a bar and fountain. We could not imagine a more relaxing place as we enjoyed poolside beverages while listening to the soothing sounds created by the breeze blowing through the palm trees. Also, we loved the occasional iguanas who seemed to enjoy relaxing in the area too!
On our the first day we rented a golf cart to get our bearings but found that the beach is a short walk away. There's all kinds of fun stores, bars, and restaurants along the way. Everything is right there, and it turned out walking was easier and more fun.
We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful, spacious condo in paradise - it was truly perfection!
Wow, I'm not even sure where to start... It was a breeze to get to the condo from the airport and the management company was extremely helpful upon arrival. The owners have really taken great care to ensure their guests have a wonderful experience during their stay. First, the condo itself is gorgeous, open and airy, with lots of natural light. We cooked breakfast every morning and the kitchen was impeccably stocked with anything and everything we could have needed. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony while watching the iguanas in the trees as we geared up for the day. The condo is just a short walk to the beach with lots of shops and restaurants along the way. The beach club was so amazing that we decided to spend an extra day there taking in the ocean views while relaxing beside the infinity pool. The staff kept us well "hydrated" and the food was fantastic. I really can't say enough about this vacation. It far surpassed any of my expectations and we can't wait to go back!

This place is fantastic! First off, the condo is very easy to get to and find, and the staff at Special Places couldn't be nicer and more helpful. The condo itself is beautiful - the photos capture the fantastic sense of openness and light in the decor and furnishings. The condo is impeccably furnished and has everything you need, no matter the length of your stay. We loved having a terrific grocery store right at Pacifico and also being convenient to the beach and to restaurants - highly recommend an amazing cup of coffee and delicious breakfast at Ticoffia, just down the street. Had dinner at the Pacifico Beach Club and loved eating a wonderful meal poolside while watching the sun set. This is a truly wonderful condo - we can't wait to get back!

Spectacular
This rental was perfect. The condo was excellently maintained and the grounds of the complex were gorgeous. There are lots of pools on location along with a grocery store, pharmacy, bank, coffee shop and restaurant. The complex is in an excellent location, within walking distant of the beach, many more restaurants, stores and coffee shops.
The owner was very easy to communicate with. We definitely plan on vacationing here again.

A first class five star way to visit and Guanacaste and see Costa Rica
I visited Mark's Pacifico Paradise over the Fourth of July and am already planning my return.
First: the property. Mark's Pacifico flat is beautiful open two bedroom two bedroom floor plan with kitchenette and balcony that can easily accommodate two couples for any length of stay in Guanacaste. Our group of four had ample space with plenty of luggage and didn't feel the least bit cramped. The place is immaculate with great linens and towels. The cleaning staff prepared our arrival with excellent touches in the bathrooms and on the beds.
A bit about the Pacifico complex: The property is a 24 hour manned gated community that has meticulously kept landscaping throughout the property and multiple community pools. Its quiet and safe.
Mark's flat boasts the following (1) has slate-type flooring that's cool and comfortable to walk on in bare feet; (2) new appliances including a full size refrigerator with ice maker for all your groceries from the Supermarcado (see below); (3) central air - I cannot understate what a unique benefit this is if you've traveled before to CR before and are familiar with nightlife under a wall unit; (4) full-length curtains for that morning Costa Rican sunlight; (5) your own covered parking space conveniently located in the parking garage underneath the unit; (6) access to the BEAUTIFUL Pacifico Beach Club a few minute's drive to the beach that has awesome dining/cabanas/drinks/beach access/service/AND INFINITY POOLS (plural), and LAST, but certainly not least: Mark's unit is in THE FRONT of the complex making it the best and most convenient on the property for leaving the property on foot to explore Coco, going to Hard Rock, visiting and carrying groceries from the new Supermarcado that's adjacent to his unit, and accessing the Pacifico's various pools. The location of his unit in relation to the rest of the Pacifico complex cannot be understated.
When visiting Guanacaste and Coco its my strong personal opinion you should rent a car with unlimited miles and explore CR. This property allows you to safely park and access your rental vehicle which is a unique benefit. The unit is an easy 2.5 hour drive from the Arenal Volcano National Park and an easy 1 hour 45 minute drive to the Tenorio Volcano National Park which boast some of the best hiking and natural sightseeing in Costa Rica. No matter your destination, the Pacifico is just a short 25 minute drive to Liberia where you can pick up Route 1 which will take you anywhere you wish to go in the country. While we were there we took a day trip to Tenorio for hiking the waterfalls and blue lagoons and an overnight trip to the spas and hot springs along the Rio Tabacon in Arenal National Park and loved using Mark's place as our home base paradise on the beach.
The Pacifico property has the following amenities of which I used every single one: a Subway for when you're hungry and in a jam, an awesome ice cream shop, a beautiful new Supermarcado with full deli, produce, fresh meat and seafood, produce, and liquor/beer, a surf shop that sells sandals, bathing suits, tshirts, and sunscreen, a Hard Rock Cafe with full bar and gringo food, and Citron - a GREAT restaurant with beautiful outdoor seating right on the property that is a must-try while visiting (get the ceviche to start, wok flash fried poached sea bass, and the salmon risotto if I were you). I found the shops on the property to be fully stocked and convenient.
All in all our stay at Mark's property in Costa Rica made for one of the top vacations in my life. Its a five-star way to see Costa Rica no matter whether you're more interested in soaking up rays on the pacific coast or venturing into the rainforest. I strongly recommend this jewel of a place to anyone visiting CR. I can't wait to go back.

Fantastic condo and super convenient to everything
We could not have had a better time staying at Pacifico Paradise. The complex honestly feels like a brand new resort with lush landscaping and great pools on site. The condo is immaculate with recent updates and feels incredibly roomy. We sat on the porch every morning to enjoy the Costa Rican coffee and fresh juices from a local purveyor just minutes away from the secured pedestrian gate. Their is also a great grocery right next to the private main entrance, so we were able save a ton of time when we took off for the days adventure.
On foot you are on the main street, Avenida Central, within 5 minutes of leaving the condo and probably another 5-10 minutes to the beach. I found a ton of great spots to walk nearby with local tacos, juices, great restaurant/bars & killer ceviche everywhere we went. I would strongly recommend going to "Pacifico Restaurant Beach Club & Bar" since you will get access by staying here. Their was an additional fee to go to the Beach Club, but its totally worth it. It's outside of the main property and is located on the beach. Its a short cab ride and the view is ridiculous. 2 great pools there and the food & service are spot on. Plus you will not have to fight the crowds for anything here. We spent a day there to relax, swim & catch some rays in a sweet setting. Check out there pics online.
The best part of staying at Mark & Leah's place is that they bend over backwards to make sure you know great drivers for getting around Costa Rica. We hired the drivers they recommended for the short 30 minute ride from the Airport and also the 3.5 hour trip each way to Tabacon. They also provided recommendations for all of the best local fare, snorkeling trips & eco-trips. We took a short trip to the park in Playa Del Penca and spent a day of lounging on the beach and snorkeling here also. Tons of wildlife to see here in the tidal pools and near the outcrop next to the beach. Its hard to believe that this condo is only 30-35 minutes from the airport. If you are looking for a convenient, secure location this is really hard to pass up. Safe travels & Pura Vida!

Perfect Condo for Costa Rica Vacation
We stayed in this condo for our honeymoon and it was perfect! It was our first time to Costa Rica and we were unsure what to expect but fell in love with Playa del Coco and Pacifico and would definitely go back and stay in this same condo again. It is very spacious and had comfortable King size beds in both rooms, and has a Jacuzzi tub in the master and both bathrooms have been fully renovated. It has a full kitchen and washer/dryer in the unit which was so convenient for wet towels and bathing suits. The condo is situated closer to the front of the complex so it's very close to all the shops, restaurants and pools. You can walk everywhere and you still get such a local vibe but with the security and safety at Pacifico. You can rent a golf cart or bikes too if you prefer but it's not necessary. The locals are very friendly and we felt safe the entire time. The Beach Club is first class and the food and drinks were so good. This condo is a steal at the price and we will definitely be back!

Getting around
We can book your transportation from the airport and there is a rental car agency within the Pacifico complex. Golf carts are also available to rent nearby. A car is not necessary, but is helpful if you want to explore the nearby beaches and adventures in the Guanacaste province. However, if you prefer, guided tours and drivers are available. A free shuttle is provided to the Pacifico Beach Club and taxis are easily available in Playas del Coco.

How to get there
We are 25 minutes from Liberia International Airport (LIR). There are rental agencies at the airport or we can schedule a transfer to the condo.
From LIR, exit the airport and turn right onto Route 21 for 10 min (13 km). Then turn right on Route 151 and follow signs to Playas del Coco. Drive for 15 minutes (15 km) and turn right into Pacifco Boulevard at the AutoMercado and Numu Brewery and proceed to the Pacifco Gate.
