Casa de Alberto - Costa Rican style home tucked away in a gated community with birds and fruit trees, the beach a 12 minute walk and the towns of Tamarindo and Flamingo only 25 min. away. Roomy, double bed and sofa/futon, kitchen, living room, private deck, hot water.
A Costa Rican style one bedroom house, with artistic features hand crafted by a local artist. This unique oasis is cozy and inviting with high ceilings. The kitchen, living room, separate bedroom and screened patio make it lovely for extended stays.
Within the house is a fridge, coffee maker, toaster, sink, microwave, toaster oven, gas cooktop (no oven) and dishes. There is a bedroom with a double bed and a queen size sofa/futon in the living room which can be turned into a bed for two more people. The bathroom includes a f...

Best hosts we've had in 35 years of travel
We've stayed with Tim and Kim 8 times in the past 6 years: we've previously stayed in the Tranquil and Private Guest House: this is our first stay in Casa De Alberto. This is a really, really nice 1 bedroom house on beautiful grounds. We're coming back to visit with Tim and Kim as soon as we can!

About the neighborhood
We feel very safe in our gated community, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of some of the nearby towns, but still close enough to enjoy all the area has to offer. This relaxing atmosphere is great for bird watching and animal visitors, walks or just enjoying the pool. We are centrally located to enjoy all the coast has to offer with 23+ beaches within less than one hour drive.
The closest beach, Playa Conchal, is an easy 10-12 minute walk away or even shorter drive. It has gentle waves making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Playa Minas and Bahia de Los Piratos are 2 other beautiful beaches a 5 minute drive away.
Matapolo is the closest town to us. It is a 5 minute drive away and has a couple of restaurants and grocery
Getting around
Being a bit away from it all a vehicle is a must. We are about 4.5km from the closest town and bus stop. Most of the main roads in our area are paved, however the last 4.5km to our house is dirt. A 4x4 is more comfortable and will allow you to explore even further, but for those quick runs into town, a car works fine.

How to get there
The Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia is the closest airport to us and is about 50 minutes away.
The closest town and bus stop to us is 4.5km away in the town of Matapolo. There are taxis that can bring you the rest of the way, but we recommend guests rent a vehicle. It will provide more flexibility and freedom to explore the area and see the sites.
