Directions taking the bus: From San Jose go to the Turrialba bus station and take the express bus that leaves every hour, in 1 1/2 hours you are in Turrialba. Take the Tuis bus that leaves every hour and in 40 minutes you are in Tuis. The San Joaquin bus that leaves Turrialba Mon-Wed-Friday twice a day brings you up by my driveway, ask to be let off at La Paulina. The road makes a hard curve to the right, and a large rock on the left with a yellow cross painted on it. Take the level driveway next to the rock and go a couple of blocks. Also taxis are available in Tuis to come up the mountain. Directions driving: From San Jose follow the signs to Cartago on Hwy 2 and continue thru town to Paraiso, from there follow the signs to Turrialba on Hwy 10. The road is paved and well maintained. Continue thru Turrialba on Hwy 10. You will cross the Reventazon River and start up the hill, turn right on the road to La Suiza, Hwy 232. Continue thru La Suiza to Tuis on Hwy 232. One half block past the bus garage turn left and start up the hill. Go three kilometers to where the road turns sharply to the right. There is a big boulder there with a big yellow cross painted on it, turn left into my driveway. There are two driveways, take the level one. Go 2 blocks and you are here. Old 16th Century church ruins, beautiful Orosi Valley, Volcano Irazu National Park, and the haunted ruins of the Duran Sanatorium are nearby. Good cuisine at the restaurant Angostura, best pizza at Napoli in Turrialba, cheap seafood at La Rosa de San Luis. More
