Casa Tuanis is a safe and secure two-story, three bedroom, two bath home ( one of two rental homes at Casa Cielo Volcano View Retreat). The home was designed to blend in with nature by combining modern amenities along with outdoor living spaces,.allowing guests to fully enjoy all the beautiful flora, fauna and spectacular views Costa Rica is famous for. Relax on the outdoor deck and enjoy the soothing sounds of the wall fountain and new cool down pool and spa while watching the various types of birds feeding off our bird feeders. Interaction with guests:

We interact with our guests daily. We do help most of our guests with tour planning so there is usually a fair amount of communication prior to arrival. Once our guests arrive, they can expect to see us every morning cleaning around the property, as well as stocking the bird feeders. During breakfast at our private dining facility 'Rositas', we make sure our guests are prepared for the day by providing fresh hot Costa Rican coffee, a delicious breakfast, and printed out directions for their activities for the day. We take care of our guests and want to make their experience at Casa Cielo Volcano View Retreat as memorable as possible.

About the neighborhood

Casa Cielo Volcano View Retreat is a rural retreat about 8 Km north of La Fortuna which sits at the base of Arenal Volcano in the north central part of Costa Rica. This is approximately 90 miles northwest of the capital, San Jose. This area is filled with numerous activities for all interests. Horseback riding, canyoning, white water rafting, kayaking, Zip lining, hiking, bird watching, ATV tours, Hot springs, hot air ballooning, boat trips and fishing on lake Arenal, Butterfly gardens and more. If you want to do a lot of activities renting a car is best and a 4-wheel drive is advisable. If you do not want to rent a car, airport transfers and daily transportation can be arranged for a additional fee.

Getting around

A rental car is recommended. We do have a small grocery store located within walking distance and restaurant and bar next door at our neighbors location at Leaves and Lizards but driving is necessary if you want to explore and sample local cuisine in our small town of Monterrey or La Fortuna.
