The space
This historic property was built in 1925 by Tuskegee Institute using student labor bricks and materials made by Tuskegee Normal and Industrial College students for the Dean of Men at the time, Dr. AJ Neely the mentor of Ralph Ellison and Iceberg Slim. Neely is one of the few historic institutional figures honored with his burial at the Campus cemetery, where Booker T and Carver are also interned.
