Within walking distance of Benaulim beach, known for its serenity and cleanliness, lies our apartment. Not only does the location of the apartment provide utmost convenience, it also exists as part of a quiet complex with 24hrs security. The beauty of the apartment shines through being a part of a complex which consists of two swimming pools, including one for children. The pools are very well maintained. There is good free parking space for vehicles in front of the complex for residents and guests. It also has taxi service available from outside the complex. The beauty of the apartment shines through being a part of a complex which consists of two swimming pools, including one for children. The pools are very well maintained. There is good free parking space for vehicles in front of the complex for residents and guests. It also has taxi service available from outside the complex. The apartment is clean, spacious, airy and fitted with all mod cons, a well equipped apartment ideally suited to all your needs providing a very comfortable stay. All rooms are air conditioned, with overhead ceiling fans (if AC not required). It consists of two bedrooms, the first a master bedroom with super king bed and the other with two single beds, both rooms with fitted wardrobes. There are two shower rooms (one is an en-suite attached to master bedroom) and another separate shower room. A daily cleaning service is available at a very low cost. To add to the conveniences and at your request the “Pav Wala” will visit every morning on his bicycle with the daily basics, fresh eggs, milk, freshly baked bread roll, Indian breakfast, the daily newspaper and any other goods. It is a 30min stroll along the beach to the most prestigious and luxurious Taj Beach Resort and Leela Beach Resort. The highlight of the beach lies with the large variety of beach shacks; offering a large selection of cuisine with entertainment. Customers are supplied with parasols and sun beds free of charge! There are supermarkets, bars and restaurants situated by a 10 mins stroll from the complex, with more taxis, autos and buses to main towns and cities. Scooters and bikes can be hired at low costs. There are many ATM's, internet cafes, a money exchange and fresh fruit and veg stalls. Daily boat trips are made for dolphin spotting and if you feel adventurous there is paragliding and jet skiing. You may also wish to visit the local attractions including the flea markets, the historic Old Goa with it's beautiful churches, the spice farms and the famous Dudhsagar Falls where you can also take a ride on the elephants. Well I'm not sure were to begin! The description is a fairytale!! We booked for 12 days and left after 2. We only stopped the second night because we hadn't found alternative accommodation. On arrival late at night the contact details supplied were wrong, so we were hanging around until a very helpful taxis driver managed to find the site contact. Not a good start but if the apartment was up to scratch then fine mistakes do happen. The apartment, was listed as having OCEAN VIEWS with a short walk to the beach, with air conditioning in each room, which sounds idyllic, but only a third of that statement was true. In reality the apartment is on the ground floor of a filthy block surrounded by dingy grubby walls on all sides with rusting air conditioning units and barbed wire as the main focal point from the balcony. It was like being in a dungeon or a better description would be a prison camp. The balcony barely seats 2 but the doors cant be closed, so the local insects have a field day inside playing hide n seek whilst you sit on the balcony staring at the rusty air con units wondering how has it gone so wrong. Every year in Goa has been fantastic until this shocking experience. Also just to top it off the apartment is filthy, the bed linen was stained, the missing air conditioning unit made the main bedroom unusable, my wife had to sleep on the settee, whilst the local insect population continued the game! I could go on but to sum it up the place is definitely not as described and photographs are well out of date. This is a shocking apartment which cost us 2 days of our annual holiday in Goa. Ps dont open the kitchen sink unit the stench was unbearable but the owner said it was the natural smell of the wood - which it does if soaked in ammonia.

Nice apartment in perfect location for beach

We enjoyed our weeks stay here. It is a nice homely and clean apartment in a gated complex with security guards and caretaker if needed. We did not see much of complex as this apt is conveniently placed near the entrance. We did have breakfast in the restaurant which was good. Fresh omelettes made to order, fruit, cereal and Indian breakfast all available. The perfect beach is about 3 mins away and the town about 10 to 15 mins stroll away...Perfect location too.

About the neighborhood

The stunning Benaulim beach is a wonderous place to relax, it is less developed and not a busy as the northern Goa beaches, the warm sands are perfect for sunbathing, while the calm seas are good for swimming. Wooden fishing boats dot the shore,and the palm trees provide welcome shade. As this beach is famed for its fishing the coastline has many shack cafes offering some of the most succulent, freshly caught seafood in the world. Also, some of the local fishermen run dolphin spotting trips in thier traditional wooden boats. Benaulima lso features thriving handicrafts centre attracts tourists for its traditional rosewood furniture. The Church of St. John the Baptist on a hill is quite famous as is the monsoon feast of Sao Joao celebrated as thanksgiving
