Our Purple House One is adjacent to Purple House Two and can be rented alone or in conjunction with the other side. It is a duplex divided into two homes. Interaction with guests:Â Our house is located right next door, so you are just easy shout out away, but each house has it's own deck for private relaxation. If you need help, we'll be available, but if you are looking to get away from it all, you'll hardly notice us at all.
Unbelievable stay at this house, literally over the sea. Jeanne and her husband were super helpful and friendly from the beginning. We stayed there for five days and we got tips and help throughout the trip. I even step on a hedgehog and Jeanne gave us all the necessary tools and help to cure the foot. The kayaks, paddlesurf boards and bikes were very nice to have, it just added value to the overall experience. Really recommend this!!!

Just perfect!
Our three-night stay at Purple House One could not have been better. Clean, thoughtfully appointed and right on the water in a real neighborhood. The hosts are delightful and helpful. We were able to book a private boat tour which left right from the property. Great restaurant recommendations, too. Skip the hotels and stay here; you will not regret it.

Beautiful Home, Perfect Location
My best friend and I stayed at the purple house for 5 days this month. Our hosts, Jeanne and Steve gave us excellent directions to get to the property. When we arrived, they gave us an entire binder filled with brochures and flyers of things to do in the area. She explained how to best get a taxi and gave us excellent recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc. There is air conditioning in each bedroom and ceiling fans in the other areas (they even put an oscillating fan in the bathroom).

Hidden gem
We rented Purple house one for 3 weeks, the house has all the amenities you could ask for. They start you off with enough food stuff to get you started. The kitchen is well equipped to do any cooking that you chose to do. The beach is not far from the house, as well as grocery stores and restaurants. But the best part about the purple house is the large outdoor deck, it protects you from the rain and the hot sun. You also have access to other decks on the property to sun tan. Jeanne and Steve were very friendly and hospitable hosts, they provided lots of information you needed. The views were great. We would definitely stay here again.

About the neighborhood
Saigon Bay is located just 15 minutes walk from town or a quick $1 taxi ride. This is a local third world neighbourhood, so is colorful, rustic, authentic, and a lot less touristy and as a result, not as well kept as resort locations around the islands. If you want to experience the island as the locals do, then this is the location for you. Due to the garbage issue on the islands, we ask all our guests to recycle in order to reduce our own personal footprint.
There is a local supermarket a few minutes walk from the house where basics can be purchased. We can provide you with drinking water on the property at a cost of $7 for 6 gallons of water.
Getting around
Local taxi's can be arranged and cost $1 to town and $2 to the airport. Cycling is the most popular mode of transport and bikes can be arranged for you as we rent bikes. Just let us know when you would like them and we will set them aside for you for that day for a reasonable rate
