The Space
Tucked away under the canopy of fruit trees lies Dilan's, a nice little bungalow. It has two rooms, each with attached bathroom, a shared kitchen and plenty of space outside. The big barbeque outside made us yearn for a seafood grill-up. It's all yours.

The Neighborhood
The stretch of coast between Matara and Tangalle is - in our opinion - the best place to visit Sri Lanka's Southern Coast. Abundant in marine wildlife such as Dondra's population of Blue Whales and Rekawa's leatherback turtles, it's sparsely populated by people, apart from a thin line of fishermen's villages along the coast. There are few big hotels and resorts here, so everything has a friendly, local feel and a small scale, yet it's very accessible by train and highway. Seriously, if you're looking to spend a week on the Southern coast, this is where we'd recommend to go.
Dilan's itself is located next to the main road at a 5-minute walk from quiet Tangalle beach and a 10-minute walk from Goyambokka beach, both of which are good for snorkeling and diving. The Mulkirigala Rock Monastery is some 2 kilometers away.
