Suduwella has a 12-metre swimming pool with pool floats that has a large sun bathing deck & sun loungers.
The house comes with a housekeeper/cook capable of cooking delicious local Sri Lankan and European cuisine.
Wifi is available throughout the villa, and 2 bicycles for your use to explore the area.
We had an amazing 5 days at the stunning Suduwella Villa near Tangalle. Newly built but in the most beautiful architectural style and gorgeous interiors and art. Set a short walk between two beaches. With huge garden with large swimming pool surrounded by loungers. Onali and her father took amazing care of us. She is a fantastic cook. Very flexible and made a brilliant variety of food to suit all our tastes. Presentation was lovely and she made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Even came shopping with me when I needed a few things from Tangalle. The two dogs which live there are also so sweet. Thank you for a very memorable start to our trip.

Amazing house, location, & staff
We stayed for 1 week in April and it was absolutely perfect. The house has a super cool layout with a big open living & dining room that over look the pool and yard. Our first morning there, we got to watch multiple peacocks around the pool.
Onali, the cook, made delicious food for every meal and did a great job of providing spicy and non spicy options.
Prasanna made sure we had fresh shrimp, fish, or wild meat options everyday and escorted us down to the different beach options the first time.
The location is great with 2 different beaches ~a 5 min walk and the views from the upstairs bedrooms are phenomenal. And the pool is very nice with a good section of steps which was perfect for our 3 year old to play on.

Heaven on earth.
Suduwella House is the perfect place for relaxation and for enjoying the wildlife of Sri Lanka. I have recently spent a week there and every minute was peaceful and heavenly and I did not want to leave. The view from the open-sided sitting room, across the pool and tree-tops to glimpses of the sea beyond is lovely, and the regular visits of peacocks, kingfishers and monkeys meant that I spent much of the week just sitting and looking at that. It was so relaxing.
Each morning, we were asked what we would like for dinner and nothing was too much bother. Onali and Prasanna are very good cooks and the chicken noodle stir fry was a huge hit with my children and the prawn and potato curry was my favourite. I'd also strongly recommend a fresh and very tasty salad at lunch time. The prawn one was the best.
At night, the rooms are reasonably cool and, because of the two sets of doors on each side, the breeze comes through and keeps the heat away. Having the doors open wide through the night means that you can hear the magic of the dawn chorus - which sounds very jungle-like and tropical, and I loved it. If you would prefer the doors shut, there is air-conditioning, but I relished the breeze and the sounds of the tropics. The bed in my room was very luxurious and incredibly comfortable. I had a whole week of brilliant sleep.
From Suduwella, we were lucky enough to enjoy trips of whale watching (from Mirissa), sunrise kayaking on a lagoon (the other side of Tangalle) - which was the highlight for the whole family - and snorkelling with the turtles at Unakuruwa Beach which is less than a 1 mile walk. The coffee served at a hotel bar at that beach is, according to some, the best in Sri Lanka. We certainly enjoyed it very much. If you don't fancy travelling to go on trips, then a fantastic beach is at the bottom of the lane. Silent beach is glorious.
I really hope to go back to Suduwella soon.
