I can show you how a vanilla plant looks like, or a cinnamon, or curry tree, bananas, pepper, papaya, clove tree, lemon grass, coconut, jack fruit, bread fruit, passion fruit ….and my first pineapple which is growing as you read this ( over excited about that little one)
And of course, if you get tired of the hard beach life and want to travel around, visit turtles, go to waterfalls, Yala Park , whale watching or anything else, I give you some advice or arrange for you no probs.
I would please ask you little things such as turn off the fans and lights as you leave the studio, respect sleeping hours, separate plastic from paper and organic, and please dont take towels to the beach...
Internet flow is not suitable for downloading nor streaming ( ie. Youtube, movies online, spotify...) , and wifi will be available from 7.00 am until 20.00 pm.
I am afraid that due to the nature of the enviroment, at the moment my property its not suitable for kids, hopefully that will change soon...

Please, this a private house, so kindly refrain to let any outsiders to the property without my consent. Not even tuktuk drivers nor taxi drivers.
This is a very quiet place where we respect sleeping hours ( from 22.00-07.00) and we enjoy listening to the jungle soundtrack.
We would please ask you little things such as turn off the fans as you leave the studio, recycle, and please dont take towels to the beach.
Internet not suitable for downloading nor streaming, wifi from 7.00am-20.00 pm.

Perfect place to stay & rewind while enjoying Hikkaduwa
THE perfect place to stay! Just on the edge of the town of Hikkaduwa we have absolutely enjoyed our stay at this perfect hideaway home, which feels like it's right in the middle of the jungle with all the perks and comforts of a modern european home. In the morning, you wake up to the sound of the monkeys and palmsquirrels and birds. Lovely bathroom/shower, spacious room, a porch with amazing view of the lush garden, perfect climate with a gentle breeze and ceiling fans - no AC needed. We brought our own bicycles, which is ideal for going back-and-forth to town, but 2 minutes by tuktuk is just as easy.
Eva, is very helpfull and it is absolutely mindblowing that she has build this place out of swamp & jungle over the past years.

An Escape From Reality
First time in Sri Lanka and it was a whirlwind of a trip but made easy by the host. I was picked up in Colombo and whisked away in Hikkaduwa. From waking up to water buffalos crossing the waters nearby and monkeys jumping about, you really do feel immersed in an environment that's entrenched in mother nature. Definitely would recommend it to anyone!

Loved this place
Lovely place. I was planning to stop here only for a couple of weeks, but I ended up staying here 2 months totally, because I loved Eva, her house, the way how she managed to make my life easy, and the atmosphere in this place. So calm and relaxing. I enjoyed seeing monkeys everyday. And I remember, there was a coconut tree with the nest belonging to peacocks (5-7 birds) - we had a lot of "songs" from this collective ;)
