A rowdy market takes place every Thursday just in front of the Medina. Along the coast there are a lot of unspoilt beaches where you can bath or walk, far from city life.
A day-trip to the nearby Riif Mountains and the old city of Chechaouen is highly recommended.
How to get there
We recomend entering the medina (walled town) via the “see gate” or gate number 3 on the map (bab Bahr). Immediatelly on entering the medina turn night and follow the town wall along the sea front (sidi Ahmed Mansour) cross the main door of the palace, continue this narrow street along the wall until you reach the Karekria (a famous old cementery where the town walls run into the sea (a 5 min walk). At this point, turn left ant take the road Sidi Taib. L’Etoile d’Assilah is in this narrow street Sidi Tayeb, number 17 which is in the left side.
Sophia will be waiting for you.
