A vacation house Apathy is situated in the green, picturesque surrounding overlooking the river Danube. The house is located in the village Opatovac on the bike route Srijem and Euro velo 6, 18 km from Vukovar and 19 km from Ilok. The house is surrounded by vineyards and fields at the front, and green slopes at the back overlooking the river Danube.
Unusally low roof frames the front entrance to the house which leads to the central part of the house. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom, with a shower, a wash basin and a toilet. There is a living room with a three-seater sofa and a studio couch. A hand made wooden coffee table is in the middle of the living room with comfortable chairs next to the wood stove. Beautiful and peaceful Oasis
4 of us spent 3 days at this beautiful small house above Danube river. It was exactly what we needed - couple of days far away from stressful city life, in the middle of beautiful Srijem region, surrounded with woods, grapevine fields and right above Danube. Sunset view was magnificent! Everything we needed we found in the house, it was cozy and functional, but the best thing about it is the owner Damir and his family. They made us feel welcome and they were really warm and helpful.
Location is perfect - it is a short 20 minutes car drive from town Vukovar, half way to town Ilok. Both are worth to visit and exploring. Also, this area is very well know for good quality wine and gastronomy. Just tell Damir what you like and he will know the best what to suggest :)
Parking is available, just in front of the house.
Looking forward to come back, hopefully next spring!
