Villa Eli is situated in an elevated position on the edge of the magical seaside town of Cavtat. The villa also has the advantage of being located above the Epidaurus Hotel and guests are usually able to use hotel facilities for a small fee. This more then 100 years old house is newly renovated and offers modern comfort with lovely sea views from its terraces. The whole house is air conditioned and equipped with a Satellite TV, a dishwasher, an oven and a CD-player. This villa would suit a family or friends looking to stay near the beaches and in the vicinity of the most beautiful town on the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. A family gathering in Cavtat was perfect. The apartment was adequate for what we needed. The view was just stunning and yes there is some building work happening but the beauty makes up for that. Eli was very good and ensured the villa was spotlessly clean. Our bed was very firm, we had a problem with one of the showers but apart from that it was great. There are quite a few steps so people need to be aware, carrying luggage up when you arrive was tricky. Loved out time there and hopefully will return

5 star vista but scope for improvement.
Let me begin by saying this property commands a superb view from the terrace. It was also spotlessly clean and comfortable for our party of four adults. That said, there were a number of issues which future clients might wish to take into account before committing to rent this property.
1. Most days we experienced short periods of music and PA commentry from the activities at Hotel Epidaurus some 100m away.
2. Internet access was patchy and slow (0.5 to 6mb) The wireless access point in the living-room was not working, reducing wi-fi coverage in the house.
3. The first floor terraces had no shade from the sun, we raised this with Eli, who did provide two small parasols but given the size of the terraces something more substantial is definitely needed over these areas.
4. The hot water supply was barely enough for four showers in the morning, given that the house can accommodate eleven, with bigger parties there's a likelihood someone will be having a cold shower!
5. There was no BBQ, something which would have been a welcome addition.
6. The kitchen is very small and equipped with only basic equipment.
7. There is other development work underway adjacent to the property. No noise problems for us but the large crane does somewhat spoil the view.
As far as location is concerned, it's a good 30 minute walk into Cavtat old town. This wasn't a great problem to us.
During our time in Cavtat, it became apparent that there are plenty of rental properties available, many of which would have presented better value for money that this one. We did enjoy our time at Villa Eli but it could have been so much more pleasant.

Beautiful house in perfect location
We have just returned from a week at Villa Eli in Cavtat. Set over 3 floors it was very clean and well equipped with everything a family of 5 required. The showers had good pressure and even with 2 teenagers we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen was compact but ample for our needs. The real bonus was the stunning views over the bay towards Cavtat and beyond to Dubrovnik. All the little touches that Maria did made the difference between a good rental and a great one. There were dishwasher tablets left for the week, plenty of toilet roll, towels changed midweek and the bin emptied every day. The beers and juice left in the fridge for our arrival was much appreciated. She even told us to help ourselves from the fruit trees outside. Mandarin central! The whole area is quite hilly with lots of steps up to and around the villa. That said, we would thoroughly recommend this rental to anyone.

prachtig uitzicht
Wij hebben een fantastische tijd gehad in dit appartement. Het was zeer schoon, voldoende handdoeken. De ontvangst door de eigenaresse Eli was heel hartelijk. Er stond een flesje wijn en boodschappen voor ons klaar. Tevens krijg je veel tips en informatie van haar. Ze is per mobiele telefoon goed bereikbaar voor eventuele vragen etc. Villa Eli heeft twee grote terrassen waarvan er 1 gedeeltelijk overdekt is en aangrenzend bij de keuken ligt waardoor je hier makkelijk op het terras kunt eten. Het tweede terras heeft een waanzinnig uitzicht over de baai en hier kun je perfect zonnen (4 ligstoelen).De locatie is niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn want de klim naar het appartement is behoorlijk en met diverse trappen. Je kunt met een taxi of huurauto niet bij het appartement zelf komen dus er moet dan nog enkele trappen of hellingen overbrugt worden.Te voet naar het centrum van Cavtat is circa 25/30 minuten. Wel zijn er 2 mogelijkheden onder aan de heuvel tussen de de twee daar gelegen hotels om te dineren.

Fantastic location
A beautiful place to stay and only took 10 minutes transfer from airport which was organised by the owner. The villa is very roomy and well decorated throughout and although the kitchen is quite small it has everything you need, although we could not find an iron or board but after asking the cleaner it was quickly produced. The best part was the spacious terrace which had sun all day long and the most amazing sunsets to view. Cavtat old town was a very pleasant 20 minute coastal walk, although there are quite a few steep steps to negotiate when leaving the villa, but nothing for the average person. The boat ride to Dubrovnik can be caught 5 mins walk from the villa and costs 80 kuna return journey and took 45 mins. There is also a bus service in the old town to Dubrovnik but we went twice by boat which was very reliable and enjoyable. There were 8 in our party ranging from 22 years to 60 years and everyone had a great time. Would thoroughly recommend this villa and Cavtat.

What a view!
We had the most fantastic time and would very much like to return soon!
The accommodation was perfect for us, and the view……well amazing! We have so many photos taken from the balcony and enjoyed so much watching the boats come and go. Eli was great at looking after us and advising on trips, shopping etc. The villa had everything would could wish for and it was all so nicely decorated and clean, despite, I gather some very messy visitors before us!
A couple of suggestions would be possibly a DVD player for the teenagers to watch movies and more of the recliner sun loungers – we borrowed a couple from the lower balcony but I wasn’t sure if that was OK? Also we couldn’t find the CD player, as mentioned but having said that , the hotel below plays music most of the time, loudly!
A very relaxing, easy holiday - to be recommended.

Cavtat is placed 18km southeast from Dubrovnik old town. It's a lovely green township famous for its cafes and restaurants, with lots of walking paths.
An hourly boat service operates from April to October. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Ticket costs 50kuna (one way), 80kuna (return). Bus service is also very frequent from 5am to midnight (in high season to 1am). One way ticket cost 25kuna. By car it takes about 20 minutes.
Additional attractions in the Cavtat area include horse back riding and excursions to Elaphiti islands and Cilipi folkloric dance.
