Engage oneself in the beauty and tranquility of being “un-plugged”. Located in the Piedmont of Virginia, and surrounded by majestic trees, sits “Hilltop Hideaway Manor”. Relax in this spacious Victorian retreat and explore it's 25 acres of woodlands.
This perfect retreat offers a fully equipped kitchen with gas range, laundry room, dining room, living room, office room and half bath on the main level. The second level has a master bedroom with a king size bed and private bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower. The other two bedrooms, feature one queen bed and two full sized beds. These two bedrooms share a large bathroom room with double sinks.
Getting back to nature is as simple as stepping out the front door. Nature trails criss-cross through this private 25 acre wildern...

We had a wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Lane's property. We had perfect weather for enjoying grilling, meals, and relaxation on the wrap-around porch (no bugs!). I especially enjoyed that all the linens were provided and were good quality...everything very clean, welcoming, and relaxing. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking equipment. The entire family enjoyed roaming on the property. We also (on Lane's recommendation) made the short (10 min) drive to Low Water Bridge (on Butler Store Road) at the junction of the Hazel and Thornton rivers...this was an ideal spot for wading and shallow-water swimming.

Drive through the rolling Piedmont and visit “pick your own” farms” or select wineries. There are nearly 20 wineries all within a short from distance “Hilltop Hideaway Manor”. Visit “Montpelier”, the historic Mansion, Estate and Gardens of Pres. James Madison, or explore the vast civil war historical sites and battlefields. Drive on top of the Blue Ridge mountains on Skyline Drive, where one can enjoy the scenic views, thick forestry, streams and waterfalls, or access the hundreds of hiking trails. Canoe the Shenandoah River, explore the Luray or Skyline Caverns, and go horseback riding at Marriot Ranch. There are fabulous shops and restaurants in the towns of Culpeper, "Little" Washington, Warrenton, Culpeper, Middleburg, and Sperryville.

As a guest of “Hilltop Hideaway Manor” you will find a guest/ activities book which has names, numbers and literature on local places of interest within the area for daily activities.
The culture and history abound in this area and many terrific sites are within an easy drive. To the west is the Blue Ridge Mountains and Skyline Drive which provides access to many hiking trails and scenic views. Quaint towns hosting fabulous shops, antiques, gourmet restaurants, and plenty of wineries are all within a short reach.

How to get there
Taking a private gravel country road, passing horses, cattle, and farm fields and on top of a small mountain sits “Hilltop Hideaway Manor”. There is ample privacy within the 25 acres of woodlands. The entire manor and all the grounds surrounding it are for the guests, excluding the grounds keeper's quarters which is a basement apartment with separate entrance and parking. Please note that the grounds keeper resides in the basement apartment and has their own private entrance and parking spot.
