Alternatif Villa is located just 9 minutes walk from Kalkan Town and the beach, on the outskirts of the town often referred to as one of Turkeys best kept secrets. The villa is set in a quiet location and is close to all local amenities.<BR><BR>The villa has a private pool with a separate shallow end perfect for families with children. The villa has a large terrace outside with wonderful sea views, perfect for al fresco dining.<BR>

Exceptional Value
This is a large 4 bedroomed detached Villa with excellent outdoor space, plenty of room for 8 beds, covered eating area, table tennis table. Lovely infinity pool, constant depth of about five foot excepting the shallow ledge. The sun arrives about 9.30 and stays until it drops oved the mountains at the end of the bay around 6.30. You wont get the sun any longer in Kalkan. 10 min walk into Town but very steep. We got the number of a local taxi driver who we used every day £2.50 into Town for up to 6 people. One small bedroom with large double bed on the ground floor with pool access. Two large bedrooms on the first floor, large double beds with shared balcony. Large twin bedroom on the second floor with eves, including bathroom so not great for tall people but great views. Overall the Villa is a little bit tiered but everything works and the outside space where you spend most of your time is exceptional for sun worshipers. Good size fridge, small freezer. we will be back.

Perfect
First time to Turkey and we chose a cracking villa. On arrival at 11.30 pm It immediately felt comfortable. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 teens. Plenty of space for all. The outside area is huge. Table tennis - seating and a bbq (which we had on a couple of nights). The pool is fabulous. Four large bedrooms all en suite. Extra bathroom downstairs. The views are just stunning. About a 5 minute walk to the supermarket and Old Town which is lovely. Mustafa (the owner - very obliging) also has a restaurant "Alternatif". Would highly recommend. Wish I was still there !

Perfect Villa
A beautiful spacious, four bedroom villa with wonderful views over Kalkan town and Kalkan Bay. The villa is in a perfect position, only five minutes to the Thursday weekly market and only ten minutes into town over the footbridge.
The bedrooms are well designed, spacious and comfortable and are a generous size with more than enough wardrobe and draw space to accommodate all your holiday essentials.
There is a comfortable living/seating area with a large flat TV with some English channels.
The kitchen is more than adequate with cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of utensils/plates/glasses etc.
The pool is a perfect size for working off all that wonderful food in Kalkan, (do try the Alternatif Restaurant it’s fabulous) and there are plenty of sunbeds and a nice comfy sofa and chairs to lounge in when the sun gets too hot.
Whether you are a family, couple or with friends, this is a perfect holiday villa and we are looking forward to returning in May and October.

Fantastic, would recommend for relaxed holiday
This would be our 5th year visiting Kalkan and staying at the Villa Alternatif. I have never been disappointed and once we have hired a reasonably price car find it to be the ideal base to explore and visit many wonderful spots. The Villa is always lovely and Mustafa and Jane are always on hand to assist with any queries that may arise.
There is plenty of space and the villa is well situated for access to the Old Town.
Will definitely be returning and have made good friends with Musafa and Jane .

Fantastic Villa
Just returned from a fantastic week in Alternitif Villa !
The villa has everything you need for a perfect holiday 😊
Mustard,s hospitality was second to none .

Amazing villa
Villa Alternatif is lovely villa and the inside is decorated to a high standard.The villa also has a large outside area for you to sit around the pool. The new bridge that has been put a across the d400 makes good access to the town we walked there every night. Rudi was very helpful while we were staying there. We also visited the Alternatif restaurant the food is amazing so also worth a visit we went twice on our week stay.
We would defiantly stay in the villa again but maybe 10 days next time a week is not enough.

About the neighborhood
Kalkan is an elegant harbour town set in the heart of the old Lycian region. It is relatively cosmopolitan, with wonderful restaurants and great places to stay. The Taurus Mountains provide a stunning backdrop, whilst the views across the bay are remarkable<BR>This beautiful and sophisticated bougainvillea-covered harbour town is set in a breathtaking landscape in the heart of the Turquoise Coast. <BR>Tourism is still relatively new in Kalkan, with the first visitors being yachtsmen who discovered the delights of the harbor and the town in the late 1980’s.Strict conservation laws have ensured that the heart of the old village retains an authentic ambience that attracts (according to the Sunday Times) the sort of visitor who might also be enchanted by, say, Tuscany or the Dordogne. The result is a discerning mix of predominantly British guests together with Istanbul Turks attracted by Kalkan’s reputation within Turkey. <BR>Winding cobbled streets, colourful shops and excellent harbour-side or roof terrace restaurants and bars are combined with stunning views – whether you are looking up to the dramatic Toros mountains behind the town, or down across the harbour to the broad sweep of the Mediterranean .<BR>
Getting around
Within Kalkan itself there is often no need for transport. However, taxis are cheap and readily available or hire cars can be booked. In the surrounding area, there are good transport links to local towns and villages via bus or minibus (dolmus). To visit the many sites of attraction near to Kalkan such as Saklikent Gorge, Patara Ruins & beach, Tlos, Kekova, Myra, Xanthos and the Greek island of Meis- many local tour companies offer daily tours to these sites or car hire is reasonably priced.

How to get there
Kalkan's nearest airport is Dalaman (1.5 hrs away) then Antalya (c 3 hrs away) <BR>Dalaman is served by a number of charter & low cost airline operators. Airlines' summer flight schedules typically start at the end of March, and finish in the middle of November. We have found that the best source for all flights is www.skyscanner.net. If you prefer to look at individual airlines, then the most popular choices are generally Thomas Cook, Thomson, Monarch, Easyjet, and Pegasus.
