About the neighborhood
Seki, a mystical village situated at the foot of Taurus Mountains with its most hospitable natives will charm you and ensure that you spend undisturbed and peaceful holidays. An ideal starting point Seki's native inhabitants are settled nomads. Mostly they earn a living by farming. The mixture of local tradition with the influence of tourism has made the locals of Seki both open-hearted and hospitable. All in all, a stay at Seki offers an excellent opportunity to get to know a piece of traditional Turkish life! A small bus (dolmus) goes every hour from Seki to Manavgat. Seki has only 70 inhabitants. Therefore there is no shops, restaurants in the village. A car is recommended. Seki is amidst pine forest. One can make jogging or hiking over hours and hours.
We recommend to rent a vehicle, as the region is a great place to discover by car. You are advised to arrange your car rental well in advance of your stay, as most rentals will be booked out during high season. You can also get around by public transportation. There is a bus driving from the village to the main highway and back, once every hour. From there you can find a bus that takes you to Manavgat, Antalya or the beach. It is also possible to get around by bike. We have four bikes available to our guests. Please let us know in advance, if you intend to use them. Guests who did not rent a car, we offer to take grocery shopping at the beginning of their stay.
How to get there
Airport: Antalya: 37.3 mi
If you decide to rent a car, you should pick it up at the airport in Antalya. Some local rental companies will even drop you off at your destination. There are shuttle services that can handle your transfer from Antalya Airport to Seki Cottages. It is also possible to find a taxi that will drive you to the village, that will be the most expensive alternative.
