Blue Heights was designed by a leading architect (Amila De Mel) who worked with the late, and great, Geoffrey Bawa for many years. Constructed in 2008 the house being modern and minimalist in style keeping in mind certain chracteristics of vernacular architecture, is set on elevated gardens among coconut palms and has direct access to the beach below. The built up area is almost 7000 sq feet - out of which 1500 sq feet is open verandas - and the villa consists of two buildings. A single story house of linear design consisting of an ensuite double bedroom, a sitting room / study, the kitchens and has a wide open veranda running its full length at one end of which sits the family dining table. The second building is a two story villa containing the remaining 3 ensuite bedrooms. Perfect family house
We loved staying at Blue Heights. The villa was perfect for us we loved being able to walk to the beach and come back and swim and relax by the pool. The rooms are simple but very comfortable Kumar and his team looked after us brilliantly with lots of delicious food. And the children loved Timmi the dog.

Perfectly private Sri Lankan family getaway
Hiriketiya Beach is a real gem, just a short walk from the villa. Villa itself has an elegant simplicity with local touches and modern comforts. Kumara looked after us perfectly with his fine cooking skills and nothing was too much trouble. Children loved the pool and the large gardens were visited by peacocks, monkeys, beautiful birds and the every present Sri Lankan chipmunk. Perfectly private and set above the beach, we had a wonderful holiday and look. On a general note, Sri Lanka is perfectly safe - we spent 2 happy weeks travelling and relaxing and I can reassure any nervous travellers that the country is as welcoming as ever.

Amazing house and staff on one of Sri Lanka's best beaches
We were two families with 6 children under 10 and absolutely LOVED our stay at Blue Heights. The house is really big and the photos do not do it justice. It is literally 50m from Hiriketiya Beach with direct access from the bottom of the garden. Great pool, great views, huge garden, fantastic staff led by Kumara, chef extraordinaire. And let's not forget Timmy, the most friendly dog (who will happily stay in his little courtyard on request). We wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks again Kumara, Supun and Indika for making our stay so smooth and memorable.

Merveilleuse villa
J ai passé un séjour incroyable dans la blue heights villa, le cadre est sublime et calme. Située sur une colline surplombant l une des plus belles plages du Sri Lanka, avec un accès direct à la plage par le jardin, il est difficile de faire mieux. Le personnel est en plus très sympathique et disponible, et la cuisine excellente. A noter que l’ocean offre sur cette plage parmi les meilleurs vagues du sud du Sri Lanka, idéal pour les surfeurs débutants et également expérimentés. Je recommande fortement!

Paradise on Earth
Our stay at Blue Heights has been wonderful and well above our expectations! This villa is stunning and located meters away from one of the most beautiful beach we've seen in Sri Lanka so far! Greatly recommended!

Relax in paradise
The most wonderful villa and staff (including Timmy the dog). We loved our stay at Blue Heights and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Great location and the tastiest fresh food. Thanks to Kamara and the team. We hope to come back again.

Blue Heights
Fantastic few days spent at Blue Heights. Lovely house, with beautiful gardens tumbling down to the stunning Hiriketiya Beach. Kumara and the team were stars and we ate like kings; curry every night with an extraordinary array of vegetable accompaniments. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Perfect family friendly villa with amazing sunset views
This was our second time staying at Blue Heights. We really love the space and location. And the sunsets are amazing! Its a great set up for kids too. Easy walk to the beach and ocean when you want to surf and play. But a nice relaxing break if you just want to hang out with your family or let your kids swim or run around the huge property. This time we took friends of ours who have 2 kids with us and they enjoyed it just as much as us. And the staff accommodated all five kids with ease. I'm sure we will be back again. :) I even left my necklace behind and they found it and couriered it back to me in Colombo!

The best of Sri Lanka
Beautiful, very comfortable house, tastefully decorated. Large swimming pool in the tropical garden. Close distance to the beach where you can find small restaurants. We really appreciated our Chef Kurmara, who was extremely helpful. He was preparing our meals every day according to our tastes using local products. Kumara was always available, professional and helpful. Other Staff members were very discreet and always ready to help. All the Team made our stay easy and unforgettable. Amazing place with real Sri Lanka feeling, perfect for relaxation.
