Wow! From the moment we stepped inside this villa, I knew we had found a little piece of paradise.
The villa is huge, easily accomodating two families, each with their own private space. The design is both unique and magnificent. Gaudi inspired, the villa looks part Spanish, part-Moroccan - it is a great feel for the beach area of Sanur, and we loved it! The kids loved the doorways leading through to each room and our 6 year old claimed this to be the best holiday house she'd ever stayed in....we agree!
The villa is wonderfully equipped for families, from highchairs, to carseats, bikes with child seats, and even children's cutlery and plates/cups etc.
The bedrooms were spacious, beds comfy and with air conditioning throughout, it made for a comfortable night's sleep. There are three bathrooms, again great if you are two families/a big family.
The pool is fantastic, we appreciated the shallow paddling section of the pool for our 2 year old. It is also well fenced off so no safety concerns for toddlers.
The garden is impressive, with lovely water features, and a lovely fish pond and it is all well-maintained with a gardener caring for it daily. Our girls (aged 6 and 2) both really loved the fish pond, and the garden it is a unique part of the villa providing children lots of space to play in.
The location of the villa is great, and via the back of the property you can easily walk through to the beach (about a 2 min walk).
The villa is located at the southern end of the beachfront, and whilst there are some Warungs located down this end, we could also easily get a taxi into the northern end of the beach ($3 fare) or walk to other areas.
We also took advantage of using GoJek / dialled local restaurants to eat in when we preferred staying in to eat, Warung Blanjong and Massimos were both great!
Breakfasts included were also great, with fresh fruit, eggs and crepes cooked every morning.
What makes the villa even more special is the Manager, Komang and his lovely family. They only live a few doors away from the villa, were always happy to help and nothing was ever too much trouble.
Komang was also able to drive us to Ubud and Nusa Dua as needed, and his knowledge of all areas, ability to navigate traffic and the care he showed our children was much appreciated. Komang's children are also very lovely and we really enjoyed their company.
This was our first time staying in Sanur, and the villa as well as Komang and his family helped to make it really special.
Thank you Kristen as well, for all your prompt correspondence leading up to our stay. You truly have a wonderful property with Villa Sanur and I cannot recommend it enough.
