The house is located in Porumbacu de Sus, an authentic Transylvanian village, right in the heart of Transylvania. The original 1876 barn has been transformed into a lovely cottage that blend its original wooden structure with modern elements to create a warm and comfortable space. Also, there is an artisan bakery on spot where baking workshops are organized for groups of minimum 4 participants. If you are a larger group please contact us. We have a separate family suit that can accommodate up to 4 persons.

Perfect place to reconnect with nature

We stayed in one of four treehouses and it was such an amazing experience. At first, we felt the price was very high, but the house is big and you can come with another 2 companions. Also, it is very clean, the furniture is new and well chosen to fit in house,the view is amazing and it feels like you are alone in that semi forest. People are so so kind and very helpful, every time with a good word and an advice. The breakfast was more than enough. We miss Max, the dog, and all of their gorgeous cats.

A wonderful stay in a treehouse room with fantastic hosts

It is impossible to fault our stay here - it was magical. Welcoming hosts, a fabulous dinner and breakfast, a lovely treehouse room - thank you. We'll be back.

Great experience!

We stayed for the 2017/2018 New Year's Eve period and it was a wonderful experience. We were a group of 4 families with 2 kids each and the place was perfect for our stay. The rooms are good and warm, decent space for lugage, tiny and cosy bathroom (some improvement is needed for the sewarge from the shower). There is one spacious living room upstairs and another area to stay on the ground floor. The food was all prepared by the hosts and it was excellent. They were very careful with our needs and they provided the best of service that can be provided. The area is ok, Sibiu is close by, Valea Zanelor is 5km away, and also you can go to Balea (we haven't been). One minor issue is the insulation between floors. If people are staying in the dining area on the ground floor, you can hear everything from the rooms above. Overall, a very good holiday in a very nice place ran by wonderful people!

Nice small rustic pension with all modern facilities available. The food was great and Tiberiu is the best host.

Wonderful place! Beautiful, comfortable, rustic, friendly helpful owners

We were blessed to have stayed in this super beautiful clean rustic guesthouse. Our kitchen was fully equipped, we had a few rooms that were very private in this lovely old village estate, which has it's own little forest, vegetable garden and stream. The owner Tibi, who speaks English, is a superb and generous host, we enjoyed the homey atmosphere with him and other guests in a lovely common sitting room adjoining an old bakery where he gives traditional bread making workshops. We would definitely come again.

It was the best experience ever !!!

Here you will find beautiful and hospitable people who will welcome you with joy. You can come with your family, children, friends, fellow students or coworkers, everyone is welcomed and can stay a day or two, a week or two :) Because we deserve to relax in the most peaceful area from Transylvania and experience the local traditions, they promise you'll go back home with batteries fully charged :) It was a great experience , we make homemade bread, delicious barbecue, we relaxed in a hammock, we visited the beautiful surroundings and I cant wait to come back ! Excellent job guys !!!

Awesome

Such a amazing and peaceful place... The owners are very nice and very friendly. The rooms are lovely and clean, the beds are very comfortable. From the balcony you have an excelent view of Fagaras Mountains. I enjoyed spending time there and i recommend it to anyone that wants to visit Porumbacu area.

Porumbacu de Sus is only 30 km away from Sibiu, the medieval town from the heart of Transylvania and 100 km away from Brasov. Transfagarasan road is 40 km away and also the saxon villages with fortified churches are in not far from the area. Avrig is only 15 km away and here you can visit Brukenthal palace. It is the perfect place for a countryside gateway and a great starting point for exploring the most important parts of Transylvania.
