Our apartment and host Marija were excellent. The apartment was very nice, lots of room and the beds very comfortable. Marija welcomed us warmly and also provided some advice on how to get to the old town, which was a short lovely walk. We loved our stay! Judy and Cynthia

Great apartment ideally situated between old town and new port/bus station.marina and slack are excellent hosts,picked us up on arrival and dropped us off when !eaving.The apartment is selflessly clean and has every thing required for enjoyable stay in dubrovnik.An added bonus was the cheese and meat platter,fresh bread,water beer and wine marina prepared for our arrival.Marina and slack can't do enough to help which all adds to the holiday experiance.Would definitely return.

This was our 6th visit to Dubrovnik and our 5th stay with the lovely Marija and Zlatco and that says it all. This time we stayed for two weeks. We would not consider staying anywhere else. Suffice to say that we have become great friends with our lovely hosts and really look forward to returning each year. Each time we go we eat out less and less making use of the excellent kitchen and local markets, and we live like Kings and Queens for not a lot of money. Dubrovnik is not seen as a budget destination but it can be if you avoid expensive restaurants. The location is perfect for walking to either end of the city. It is also very convenient for buses to other beautiful and peaceful towns along the coast and is close to the local ferry where trips to the islands can be had, again for not a lot of money. We go in either May or September which is ideal for us as we walk everywhere. There are many attractions in Dubrovnik that we enjoy visiting and we like to learn more of the history, but the main reason for us being drawn back year after year is the warm friendship and hospitality that we receive from Marija, Zlatco and all the family. As long as our host will receive us, we will continue to return every year.

We had a fantastic stay here with Marija who was the perfect host. The apartment was large, very well equipped (including a couple of beers in the fridge (thank you Marija) and spotlessly clean. You can walk to Old Town or head east to the port in approximately 10 minutes so is very centrally located. Okay there is some noise from the main road (apartment is set back from it), but hey you are in a city, what do you expect. You can take little back lanes into the Old Town - Marijas directions were superb along with a couple of recommendations for food. There is a handy supermarket just across the main road and parking for cars. It was cheaper for us to hire a car rather than bother with transfers from the airport and is certainly one to consider so you can explore the area. We had a perfect time, thank you

This was our fifth holiday in Dubrovnik and our fourth stay with the lovely Marija and Zlatco. This time we stayed for two weeks. We have become good friends with this lovely family over the years. This time we visited restaurants less often than before, deciding to take advantage of the well equiped kitchen and the excellent location close to shops and markets. There is a Supermarket just across the road and two more just 10 minutes walk away. There is also an excellent local market nearby where locals bring fresh fruit and vegetables every morning and it also sells fresh fish daily. We also bought flour and yeast to make our own bread almost daily and made cakes to share with our hosts. Our cooking combined with Marija's visits with samples of her food and wine made this a really enjoyable and fairly inexpensive holiday. There are many fine restaurants in the old and new parts of the city just 10 minutes walk away in either direction but we sought out the one's serving 'Domestic' food, one being cafe Ribar on the harbour or Cafe Skola for lunch and another being Konoba Tabak close to the apartment. The old city can be very busy during the day with cruise passengers but this adds to the enjoyable experience as we people-watch the many nations that pass through. However, the best time to go into the city is at night where it becomes a magical place with fairy lights and classical music played on the streets. We took a local bus to Cavtat and the local ferry to Lopud, to enjoy a walk around these charming places and marvel at the crystal clear blue waters and take in the many sights. We are sure that we will keep returning to Dubrovnik year after year, parly because of the charming City but mainly because we love the Apartment Bungevila and we love to visit with Marija and Zlatco our dear dear friends.

My friend and myself have just spent a long weekend at the apartment and it was lovely. Marija and her husband where so kind and helpful. There was some provisions left in the fridge for us on our arrival. Marija showed us around when we got there and told us the best way to get to the Old town and told us lots of useful information. The apartment was comfortable, spacious, bright and very well equipped. The balcony was lovely sitting out on a morning and evening enjoying the lovely weather. It was a lovely walk to the old town from the apartment and also up to the harbour. I would definitely recommend Marija’s apartment to anyone stopping in Dubrovnik and would most certainly stay here again next time i visit. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Marija's apartment was very well presented. The location is a great base to explore Dubrovnik. It's within walking distance to the Old Town with private parking. Marija was the best thing about the apartment. She is so kind and helpful and provided us with complimentary beers and snacks on arrival too. I would love to come again. Thanks also for the wine.

Todo perfecto en el apartamente y Marija fue muy atenta en todo momento. Llegamos con lluvia y nos ofreció comida y bebida para que no tuviéramos que salir a comprar. Se portó siempre muy bien con nosotros.

I cannot recommend the accommodation and host enough. Marija was more than accommodating and went avove and beyond expectations. Super friendly and could not have done enough for us. Thank you 😀
