Apartments great location is close to nightlife, entertainment, shops, historic places, Diocletians Palace, sea, and beaches. Car is not necessary and you can get anywhere you want in Split by walking distance.
Apartment itself is located in the building with the history. It used to be the property owned by nuns who lived in this building. History and culture shows in every corner of the apartment; history is engraved in the old stone walls.
Right next to the building and the apartment, there are numerous churches, museum, shops, restaurants, Diocletians Palace. Imagine strolling down narrow streets of downtown Split, checking the old Roman walls of the emperor Diocletian.
Or you prefer a shopping spree. Split has a great selection of small shops. Traditional jewelry shops are worthy of your visit, and the selection of gold jewelry is great.
Hungry? No problem. Local produce and fish markets are steps away for your local food sampling. Various restaurants offer convenience for those who want to spend more time exploring and sightseeing, and less time in the kitchen.
Exploring Split on foot is easy from our apartment. Visit the port and watch boats sail off in the sunset. Take sailing trips to local islands, or just stay at the local beaches (“Bacviceâ€) and dip your feet in the water. And do not forget the hiking trip to “Marjan†hill for that special picture perfect moment in Split.

It was a lovely Apartment full of character. A great central location. Zana was very friendly and approachable. Apartment was clean. A pleasure to stay in with all mod cons. We would recommend for a couple.

Great location for lovely Split!
This apartment couldn’t have been more central- absolutely perfect location to explore Split and it’s gorgeous windy streets. The hosts were very helpful and even let us store bags there beyond the checkout hours which made a huge difference to our last day. Everything was clean and tidy, the only thing to mention was the noise level at night being so central, but the quality of everything else made up for this.

Split Holliday
Once i was able to find it, Emperor’s Retreat was the ideal spot for our visit to Split Croatia. The apt. is ideally located in among the narrow winding streets of this delightful “old town” city centre. Even though the place is well equipped for meal preparation we found it more fun to eat out at the myriad of restrurants well within walking distance. We literally stept out our door and walked five steps across from us to a great eatery for breakfast one morning! Tryit! You will fall in love with Split.

Perfect location, clean & comfotable
In the heart of the the old town of Split. Walk to all attractions. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Communication was good and arrangements to oraganise the key etc went well

Location idéalement placee
Appartement spacieux, confort blé et bien décoré. Salle de bain un peu petite comme dans la plupart des appartements de Split.
Idéalement placé dans le centre ville non loin du port, du Palais et autres places et monuments qui font la beauté de Split les restaurants, bars, pubs sont à deux pas.
Sans oublier le glacier Moritz au pieds de l’appartement

Modern and Clean Apartment with a Wonderful Location
Emperors Retreat offers you a clean and comfortable place to call home in a great central location within Split. You cant beat the location. It is so easy to walk throughout the city with its central location. It was about a 30 min walk to Kašjuni Beach. There were so many great restaurants and cafes located around the apartment. Even though you are in the heart of the old city, the apartment is very quiet and secure. It was very clean, well maintained and very comfortable for a family of three. The WiFi worked great. It was so nice having a washer and dryer within the apartment. Ms. Nela the manager was so friendly and accommodating. She was very responsive to any questions, in a very timely manner. If you are looking for a clean, modern and comfortable apartment with the best location, look no further. The apartment is great and the management is very professional. Thank you for a great stay Nela. When we return to split, we will definitely book the apartment again.

Amazing location within the old town
Entrance is on a busy walkway and we were met right on the agreed time by the delightful manager of the apartment. The location was perfect, close to wonderful restaurants like Bokeria and in the middle of the old area. Once inside the beautifully clean and well appointed apartment it was quiet and tranquil and cool after the heat of the sun outside. Comfortable bed, well equipped apartment and we would highly recommend.

Lovely apartment, fantastic location
Lovely apartment right in the centre of the old town, just off the main square. It is about 10 minutes walk from the ferry. Nicely decorated and spotlessly clean with everything you need, even a washing machine! Checking in and out was very easy. We were met by the caretaker who helped us up the stairs with our bags and showed us everything in the apartment. It was very convenient and a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect stay in Split
My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for our 5 night stay in Split. The apartment is in a fantastic location just off one of the main squares. The apartment is beautifully decorated and was immaculately clean. All the amenities were available, kitchen, washing machine etc. The property manager met us on arrival with the key and kindly helped us with our luggage and was wonderful in answering some questions we had regarding transport to Split. We would certainly stay here again if visiting Split and would recommend anyone to stay here.
