My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a month in early winter of 2016, and you can see our detailed, very positive, review dated February 18, 2016. Obviously, we enjoyed our stay enough to return for another month mid-January through mid-February of this year, 2018! We found the apartment as comfortable as ever, with fantastic views of the city and easy access to museums, churches, and activities of the central historic district. We went on two 3-night, 4-day trips to cloud forests, and felt very confident about leaving most of our belongings in the gated, secure apartment complex while we were away. It was always wonderful to "come home" and feel "at home" in the condo upon our return. Doing laundry was a cinch with the washer and dryer! Most of the days we slept late, enjoyed leisurely breakfast and coffee, then strolled down the hill to the main square of Old Town where we always found a tasty lunch, toured a museum or church, and of course experienced the wonderful Ecuadorian people and culture. Since we are getting a bit older, we decided this year to take taxis back up the hill each afternoon, usually only $1.50! Each evening we relaxed in the spacious living room, with beautiful views of Quito's night lights coming on, along with striking sunsets, followed by cooking suppers in the well-equipped kitchen. Trips to places like the Teleferico or Parque Ichimbia on the opposite hill are easy by taxis, which can easily be caught just outside the apartment gate. Be sure to spend a weekend or two in Quito and enjoy all the crafts vendors in Parque Ejido and especially the street musicians in Old Town on Sundays! All is so easy to do from this condo. Francisco, the owner, is extremely responsive and helpful, so we highly recommend this apartment!
