Inicialmente ficamos um pouco receosos em alugar um apartamento pela internet! A conversa via telefone e e-mail nos deixou mais tranquilos!
Chegamos em Santiago e o apartamento estava a nossa disposição no horário combinado, bastante limpo, arrumado! Parecia que estávamos entrando num quarto de um bom hotel!
Rua bem agradável, perto de tudo, com bastante facilidade no acesso ao metro e a transportes públicos!
Não tivemos qualquer problema com o apartamento ou com o proprietário! Muito pelo contrário, o atendimento foi de primeira!
Parabenizo a todos da HecTour que nos atendeu de forma primorosa!

Felt like a bit of a bait & switch
I had carefully selected an apartment in the Providencia area of Santiago for a 3-week stay, and was given the rates for 3 options from the owner. However, the features on the add included laundry facilities, and the unit I ended up with had only pay machines in the building. In addition, the apartment was very noisy with major construction only a few feet away. While I was able to move to another unit, the cost was considerably higher. I had rented an apartment because I prefer to eat in for most of my meals. However, the pots and pans were extremely thin aluminum that made everything stick. In addition, there were no towels nor pot-holders in the kitchen. The unit was also quite noisy, but fortunately, the bedroom was in the back corner in a quieter location.
The owner, who was quite personable, did take me back to the airport. I felt that he would have been a good tour guide, if you need those services.
Overall, it was a decent experience, but I still feel as if I was taken advantage of--and certainly paid too much for what I received. I have stayed in many HomeAway and/or AirBnB apartments and this was the first time that I felt that the reality was lower than my expectations. While there are advantages to one owner with several properties, there needs to be very clear distinctions between each unit, as the prices and amenities are all quite different. Yet, the decor is the same in all, adding to the confusion.

Quiet street, great location
This apartment suited our needs and is good for two people. It is very clean and well maintained, comfortable ben and linens. It's a comfort to know there is security in the lobby, who are very friendly, even though we don't speak Spanish! The location is in beautiful, trendy Providencia, lots of restaurants, bars and wonderful area for walking and seeing the sights. We never felt unsafe, people of Santiago are friendly and helpful.
Hector, the owner of the apartment is awesome. He was very attentive and very keen to help us in any way possible. We booked very very last minute and he was extremely organized - had someone pick us up at the airport upon arrival and deliver us straight to the apartment. Hector also owns his own tour company, so he took us on a personal tour for two days. You can find our review of his tour company, HecTour Service Santiago under Attractions on Trip Advisor.
We would definitely recommend this apartment, because it's a two-in-one deal - you also can book your tours with Hector, which is a huge plus for non-Spanish speaking tourists!
