A perfect retreat to experience the true charm of Jogya. Nicely located in quiet and local neighborhood with close proximity to art district, good restaurants, market, Kraton, Water castle not the least a good base to explore some of the more geographically distant sights such as Prambanan, Borobudur and much more. The staff was great and very helpful, we got all the help we needed related to both villa, sightseeing, payment and much more.

We stayed in Villa Gold for 1 month and it was an absolute treat! Positives: + spacious and airy + beautifully decorated + incredibly private, not overlooked despite the central location + perfectly situated close to fantastic restaurants, bars and shops + the best staff on hand 24/7 who will help with any needs + the villa is completely cleaned (even your dishes) every day which is a real treat + lovely traditional feel to the villa but still with modern amenities we thoroughly enjoyed staying in the property and Endah the owner and her team could not have been more helpful. Villa Gold is a gorgeous house which has been beautifully decorated making it comfortable and relaxing, a real pleasure to stay in. for anyone visiting Yogja in general I would highlight the number of mosques within the central city area and so the call to prayer is often, and loud :) there is a small mosque directly next door to the villa which takes a few days of getting used to - especially their early morning loudspeaker (4.30am) - so my advice would be to bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper! that said, it's a beautiful melodic sound which adds a real traditional atmosphere to your experience.
