The food in our kitchen is included in the price! It's always stacked with delicious fresh produce straight from our organic farmer friends, including tasty seasonal fruits. We especially recommend trying out a fruit salad for breakfast! When Tami Zori, the community founder (with seven years of experience in teaching vegan & raw-vegan workshops), has some time, she'd be delighted to teach you how to make the best Israeli raw breakfast!
The room fits one person, or a couple, comfortably.
You're welcome to participate in our various workshops -- how to make healthy chocolate, how to cook tasty vegan food, how to make your own natural cosmetics, and more.
Note there's no air conditioning, as it is very bad for the environment. Every room has a ceiling fan. During winter, you'll have a radiator to be warm & cozy in your room.
You will have access to:
- Two bathrooms and showers. The bathrooms are flushed using recycled water in buckets.
- You can use all of our flat - our living room, three more spacious bedrooms, two beautiful balconies, and the rooftop
- Free & unlimited Wifi
- Clean & fresh towels and linen
- All of the fresh vegan food in our kitchen - mostly organic!
- Washer
CityTree is the best-established urban ecology community in Israel. Should this interest you, we'll be very happy to share our experience of forming and maintaining an urban eco-community, some hundreds-members strong; of creating a shared living space of six to eight people at a time.
We can share tips on exploring Tel Aviv, helping with buses & trains, and anything that has to do with the flat.
Of course, should you prefer, you can have your privacy in your room.
Note that in order to conserve drinking water, we usually flush our toilets using buckets of grey (recycled) water, which is a bit surprising at first.
All of us, guests included, sleep on thick roll-out futon mattresses, not on beds.
- The house is vegan; please don't bring any meat, milk, eggs, or products thereof in the house.
- There's no smoking in the house; you're free to smoke in the pleasant plaza under our house.
- Dogs are sadly not welcome, as we have a cat.
- Generally speaking, we go to sleep quite early, at about 10PM-midnight. Of course, you're free to adhere to your own schedule; but please keep mind to keep the place quiet after 10.
