This place has an average rating of around 9.8, and it deserves at least that. It is clean, sleeps a whole bunch (beds for 4 and I think I saw a trundle bed and rollaway cot tucked away), and has a working heating/cooling unit and computer on the premises with free wifi. We were only 2 so had lots of room. Zohar came in nearly every morning (we were on Baha'i Pilgrimage and had several extremely early days) to cook us a hot breakfast, and he gave us enough food to feed an army. Really, this is not a Bed & Breakfast, it's almost a Bed & Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! Fadi, the son-in-law who helps him, was easily reachable by email and responded very quickly. He even delivered us to and from the airport in Tel Aviv and took us to tour Jerusalem for very fair prices. Believe them when they say everything is provided. They stock the refrigerator, provide toiletries including toothpaste and non-aluminum based deodorant, clean up the kitchen after breakfast, and have a washing machine. When we couldn't quite figure where to put in the detergent, Zohar even ran our wash for us! And they ran us up to the Pilgrim Reception Center in the Baha'i Gardens nearly every morning. It's in the Arab quarter not extremely close to public transportation, but this was only an issue because my husband broke his foot the first day (the cab ride from the Baha'i Gardens to Zohar's was not an expensive one). It is close to an open produce market, and there's a neat instrument shop across the street. Note: they do ask for payment in cash, although they can be flexible about the currency and when you pay if your bank has some restrictions on the amount you can draw in a 24-hour period. Absolutely recommend!

Truly Excellent
This place was like a dream come true. Zohar is an amazing host. The cooked breakfasts, the full fridge, quantities of food that last way beyond breakfast! It's better than going to your mother's house. A beautiful setting and location. Sitting in the small yard outside (under the umbrella with the outdoor cooler)... one forgets one is in the center of a city. The apartment has literally everything you would expect in a hotel, and more: Bathrobes, a safe, toys for children, smart TV, wifi, A/C. etc... There is a kitchen with absolutely everything. fridge, oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine, etc... and other appliances that I'd never actually knew existed. I will write this post and tomorrow remember another 15 things I wanted to add.
