Perfect!
I was visiting Istanbul for the first time with my husband. Mr Adar was very friendly and helpful. He waited for us in the old town, and took us to the apartment. While we were walking to the apartment, he managed to show the area around and suggested places to eat. The apartment was very cosy. a perfect place for the two of us. Mr Adar explain how everything work, and even offered to get us bread, milk etc for breakfast. The apartment in just 5 minutes away from the Grand Bazaar, although it seem to be a busy street next to it, we were surprised that the area was pretty quiet at night. We had no trouble sleeping at all during our 6 nights stay. We fell in love with Istanbul, and would love to visit again someday. And if we do, we would definitely stay here again.

Just a great place and a wonderful host !
Firsr of all, i need to say that im french, so sorry by advance for my mistakes ;) When i arrived in istanbul i wasnt really in the mood to have a nice trip here coz my friend who had to join me here wasn't able to come because of trouble in her country (living in libya actually)! But when i met adar, he just told me "be happy". Thi is his way of life, and he did everything to me to feel good in istanbul, considering me mostly as an old friend that as a customer ! He took time with me to show me the best places where to eat around the appartement (turkish places with really few tourists) and then we had a scooter tour together in the old city (sultan ahmet)! After a few time he he makes me feels better and forget a bit i will finally travel alone here in turkey. He even proposed me if i wanted to have a drink at his place if we were both available. Then, after going to taksim place i called him. He was at his home, and we had a drink together here at his place (with such are ally nice view on the bosphorous !!!! )! That is how Adar is ! He will do what he can to make you feel happy in his place. About the appartement, it was just a perfect place to stay in in order to visit istanbul. Its just 10 to 15 minutes walking of the highlights of the old stambul! The appartement is clean, the area is safe and quiet. Everything inside the appartement to cook if you dont want to go out to eat. Air cond and fan ! What else ? I had no problem with the wifi. If you want to stay there, just send him a message and, as if it is available he will probably saw while answering you "let them fell happy" (i've heard him saying that 2 times when we were having a glass at his apaprtement) ! ;) here will may begin your nice stay in istanbul. You can go there with eyes closed, im quite sure i'll not be desapointed.

Self-catering accommodation with excellent host and location.
This apartment is located in the fascinating, shoe-making district of Istanbul and is in easy walking distance to the main tourist sites as well as local food shops and restaurants. Adar, the friendly owner who speaks very good English, met us in a central area and accompanied us to the apartment, very helpfully giving us a tour of the area so we could find our way and anything we might need. The accommodation was clean and comfortable but fairly basic as regards self-catering facilities. The shower worked well, but no hot water to bathroom or kitchen taps as is standard in the area. Recommend the shared taxi services to the airport for 5€ per person.

Genuine and Conveniant
Adar was the most hospitable, generous and genuine host anyone could ever ask for. Istanbul is a big place-he took the time to show us around and make sure we were oriented. Even after check in he responded to calls and emails quickly with much needed useful information. He was kind and such a pleasure to meet. It felt like you were staying with an old friend. I highly recommend staying at one of adar's properties- especially if you want to stay in Old Town.

perfect choice for local and authentic experience
This apartment would be a perfect choice for the travelers who want to have "local" and "authentic" experience instead of touristic one. It's in good location of old city, 500 meters from the tram station of Grand Bazaar, in the neighborhood of little restaurants, grocery shops, bakeries, leather shoes maker shops, and a very small park. In the restaurants, you can enjoy homemade style Turkish food with reasonable price with local people. On Thursdays, big grocery fair is held where you can get all kinds of fresh fruits, cheese, olives, and spices. It's fun just to watch and even more fun if you do grocery shopping and cook in the apartment. (There is a fish market and lots of fish restaurants on the way to the sea shore, which are quite touristy. I personally would not recommend.) From the Grand Bazaar tram station to the apartment is downhill and accordingly the other way is uphill, which is quite steep. I found one way getting around this uphill climbing, which is taking the railway instead of tram. There is a railway station near the apartment around 600 meters toward seashore direction and this is not just another train. It's was part of the historical Orient Express. On the train that will lead you to Sirkeci (near pier area close to Galata bridge), you get the travel along the seashore passing by the Topkapi palace. Only, the train runs less often than the tram, so it is recommended to use during the daytime. Adar is a great host. He is ready to take care of his guests if they need any help. I'd like to thank him for his hospitality and kindness. I spent several more days in Galata area and needed to move from old city to my friend's apartment near the tower. He was willing to travel with me by taxi so I don't have any problem. Taking taxi alone in the mazelike old city would have been an unpleasant and difficult task for me without adar's help.

Wonderful!
Adar was truly a remarkable host. Communication was always thorough and efficient. The apartment is in a great location -- very safe and at the heart of Sultanahmet. It is exactly as shown in the photos and very clean. Great WiFi. We had a great time getting to know adar and can't say enough about his generosity and hospitality. We felt very well taken care of, and all recommendations provided were useful and complete. On our arrival to Istanbul, Adar was kind enough to give us a tour of the area and over our week there, we met several times for meals/tea/just to chat. We now most certainly consider adar a friend and I would not hesitate to recommend him as a host or any of his properties as he takes great care and pride in both aspects!
