Had a great stay here while in Kampala for work. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good light. The service was friendly and personal and they helped us organise easy airport transfers. They serve a good breakfast with freshly brewed coffee! The place has a nice garden and a peaceful atmosphere. I didn't try the wifi. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

Great view, friendly customer service
Great views of Kampala's hills. The staff was very friendly, smiling and caring. The owner also cooked very tasty food too! Highly recommend!

Quiet, beautiful surroundings, great cook.
It is placed in a very calm part of Kampala so your sleep will not be disturbed by musik or traffic. Florence, the owner, picks out only the best ingredients for the food so it is always safe to eat. Do try the mushroom soup it is delicious!

Amazing hotel
Best place we have stayed in so far in africa, amazing staff, good sevice, clean and with good views. Rooms are perfect, best sleep we have had so far!

Eine kleine Oase im trubeligen Kampala
Florences Guesthouse ist ein wunderbarer Rückzugsort im hektischen und trubeligen Kampala. Sie kümmert sich rührend um ihre Gäste. Sie kocht toll und man kann dort köstlich zu Abend essen. Vor allem aber ist die Sauberkeit beeindruckend. Ob in den Zimmern oder am Tisch. Sicher wackelt der eine oder andere Lichtschalter, aber das ist unerheblich, wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzt und den schönen Ausblick auf Kampala genießt.

It was perfect!
Papaya Holiday Home was perfect for our large group! Florence and her staff were kind and accommodating, and the property was large, clean, and in a great location! It was the best rental home in Uganda we've stayed in! We will definitely be staying there again!

Peaceful guest house with friendly staff
I stayed at Papaya for a week in mid July and had a great stay; very peaceful and easygoing. Florence and her staff were very hospitable, and the house also functions as a nice venue for dinners and events. Would definitely recommend to others. Thanks, Florence!

The hill commands expansive views of the city towards the north and the west. To the east and the south the predominant view is that of nearby Lake Victoria.
