Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the large market in San Igancio. Our place is close to the city center, great views, restaurants and dining, art and culture, and parks. You’ll love our place because of the views, the location, and the kitchen. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

We are a small, quiet, private compound. To ensure privacy and safety only registered guests are allowed on the property. All units are non smoking but smoking is allowed outside the unit. We have two dogs so do not allow pets. Owners live on the property, this is not a hotel.

Very well equipped with a great view!
My wife and I have stayed here twice now and we couldn't be more positive about it. The cabana is extremally well equipped and cared for with a stunning view of the river and St. Ignacio. It feels like a home. It's located withing walking distance of any amenities you could want, including the famous St. Ignacio Market and downtown. You won't find friendlier or more accommodating hosts. Highly recommended.

Book this place
Whether you wish to go slow or take in adventure, Julie and Gary can make it happen. From the moment I contacted Julie she was kind, accommodating and booked all our requests for transportation and tours in advance. When we arrived she drove us around town giving us a tour, including stopping to pick up beer, wine and groceries. Dan and I loved the river accommodations. Perfect location, close to town, but far away enough to enjoy the birds in the trees. I hope you enjoy this place as much and Dan and I did. Bea MacGregor

Lovely Private Cabanas
This is such a lovely property overlooking the Mcall River. Our cabana was very large with a veranda to relax on and watch all the wild life. A fully equipped kitchen, large refrigerator and freezer. There are so many nice things I can say about Julie and Gary. We were treated as Family, invited to Julie’s Birthday Party and also to watch the New Years Eve fireworks from their veranda. Incredibly nice couple, we will be staying there again at the end of December. I highly recommend them!

Awesome location and such amazing host
We were booked at a hotel on a major street and it was so noisy. I got in touch with Julie and we moved over to Wish Willy's. The location was perfect. I can not say enough about out host Julie and Gary. The icing on the cake was Kiera and Keeper two incredible dogs. Get Kiera to play the leaf game with you so fun. Julie and Gary went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home.

Great place, great hosts, great location
We stayed here for 8 nights and were very comfortable in our little house. We had plenty of space and everything we needed. Julie and Gary are wonderful hosts. We had a warm welcome and Julie took us on a tour of the area to show us where we could go while in Santa Elena. They were ready to answer any questions and help us in any way. They are very happy to be in Belize and shared their enthusiasm with us. I highly recommend staying at Wish Willy if you are staying in the San Ignaciio area. Our stay here has been much more than we expected.

Best Hosts Ever
Gary and Julie's love for Belize is so infectious! When you first arrive you get a tour of the compound and of the cites. You learn where to eat and buy food and alcohol. The tour lands at a pub where you can book all the tours you will want to do! These hosts are the most helpful people you will have! The Belizeans are also very happy and helpful. Wish Willy is very safe so as a single traveller I much appreciated the safety of the compound. You will not be disappointed if you book a few nights with them! The various cabanas all have charm and comfort:)

Great place to stay
Loved staying at Wish Willy. Julie and Gary have a diamond in the rough here. It is peaceful having morning coffee watching the different birds and lizards right from the balcony. It was a quick walk to San Ignacio where there is good food and lots of local things to do. Julie can give you great suggestions on where to go and what to do. Thanks Julie and Gary for helping making our trip full of memories.

Excellent Hosts! Beautiful views!
While Wish Willy’s is technically in Santa Elena it is a very easy walk to San Ignacio and everything you could need. Julie and Gary go out of their way to ensure your trip goes smoothly including assisting with setting up tours and transportation. They even gave us a tour of town when we first arrived and had lots of helpful tips like how much cabs cost and the best way to get around. Their property overlooks the river and we saw multiple large green iguanas during our stay! Overall it was an excellent stay

Amazing views!!!!
Julie and Gary are the best AirBNB hosts! They are kind, fun, and welcoming. We loved our 3 night stay at Wish Willy. The room was spacious and clean. The property is well located, beautiful, and very secure. Walking distance from the river, the market, and a grocery store for essentials. Their dogs are very friendly and playful. Thank you again Julie and Gary for the wonderful experience! :) Anita & David

Excellent accommodations and amazing hospitality!
We absolutely loved our stay with Julie and Gary in Santa Elena! They were incredible hosts - as soon as we arrived they welcomed us into their home. Julie took us on a tour of the towns, to the ATM, pointed out the great restaurants and bakeries and even took us to the grocery store to shop!! Their property is so beautiful, overlooking the river and San Ignacio. Perfect for a romantic getaway and enough space to bring the whole family! They even have inner tubes and kayaks if you want to explore the river. We highly recommend staying with them on your visit to San Ignacio/Santa Elena!
