Great place to stay off the beaten track
My family and I had a great stay here in July 2015. The setting is beautiful, up a quiet, forested valley with very little traffic. The house was very comfortable and any minor issues were sorted out by Miro over the phone. Monika- the next door neighbour- was extremely helpful and our kids loved playing with her grandson and dogs. The surrounding area is very interesting with plenty to see and do. I would highly recommend a stay here, so long as you are happy being in a relatively remote location.

Charming and comfortable
My sisters and I stayed in this charming traditional Slovakian cottage when we needed a place close to the village of Circ where our grandparents came from. Absolutely everything was perfect, from Monica who warmly greeted my sisters (who got there before I did), and the very detailed information about the cottage and the surrounding areas left by Miro. Everything was clean, comfortable and charming. My sisters who had no idea what arrangements I had made were delighted. We all agreed that we need to make another trip back to the cottage with our husbands and just soak in the natural beauty of the area and spend more time just relaxing. We regretted we did not have enough time to do it all. I am looking forward to visiting again. Thank you Miro - it was delightful.

Traditional cottage with modern conveniences in beautiful, traditional village setting.
This is a spacious cottage in a large garden which would be ideal for children. Two log fires make it very cosy in the evening. The two en suit bedrooms have modern decor. The cottage is in an ideal location, having a small local store only five minutes away and the beautiful market town of Bardejov twenty minutes away. There is a supermarket there for larger shopping needs as well as a wide range of shops and restaurants. It is an ideal location for exploring eastern Slovakia and the cottage has a plentiful supply of information leaflets to help you plan your outings. Do read the visitors' book as it , too, is full of useful tips. There are plenty of walks that start from the cottage or you can travel further afield. Bardejov Spa has a great range of entertainments which will keep you busy and is only twenty minutes away. We are returning for a fourth year as there is still so much to explore. The owners of the cottage are extremely helpful and will do all they can to ensure you have a happy holiday.

About the neighborhood
There is much more to Slovakia than just the forests, nature and wildlife. There are historic towns and medieval castles that are on the UNESCO World Heritage list, famous spas, once frequented by European royalty, with open-air classical concerts, live folk music, leisure centres, tennis courts, golf, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, canoeing, white-water rafting, Villages in this remote region are tranquil places with a very slow pace of life, still using horses for farming. Over the last century most farmhouses have been rebuilt using bricks, replacing the more traditional wood. However, in the village where the cottages are, the traditional log-cabin-style cottages are still predominant. The cottages are traditional but provide a good standard of accommodation.
