This apartment definitely lives up to its name! A hidden gem within the amazing city of Budapest. The location was perfect as was the attention to detail within the apartment. From the up lifting quotes to the pin ball machine, which quickly became addictive and part of our morning routine! Bjorn was extremely helpful and welcoming from start to finish, so a big thank you to him and the team. We had a very happy stay in the happy home, and hope to visit again one day soon. Stayed with my family at Happy home Blue. Clean apartment equipped with all necessary household appliances. I really liked the location - nearby there is a small park with a playground where you could take your child to play at any time. The kids were in awe of the 1982 vintage pinball. In working order! Overall, I was very pleased. The staff is always in touch and solves problems if they arise. Thanks!

Just returning from a trip to Budapest and one of the best trips I’ve ever had! The apartment was immaculate, the staff are so welcoming and went above and beyond, this apartment is central location! We went for a friends bday, and previous to going we had told them this was why, when we arrived we was greeted by the cutest bday sign, wine and chocolates!! The apartment itself was so cool, modern design, everything you could want in an apartment, it had every amenity you could need (including iron, hairdryer). We have already decided to rebook again for next year! Thank you to Happy homes for making our stay perfect!

Just completing our week long stay in Happy home and thoroughly enjoyed it. From our communication with the office, the bonus of being able to check in a little early, having someone meet and walk us through the apartment made for a great stay. All the bonus extras other reviewers have mentioned go above and beyond what we have encountered before. The portable wi do helped us immensely. There are 9 apartments to choose from so it depends on a few factors that may influence ones choice. We stayed in WHITE that had a huge shower with great hot water pressure. Best we have had in 6 weeks of travel. We prefer this to a shower over bath set up. We also preferred table and chairs over bar stools as we had to do some office work. We only had hotplate and microwave over full stove but it wasn't an issue. Perhaps a few more kitchen items like bread knife but no big deal. The only suggestion I would have is to move wardrobe a little away from wall and store the iron board and other things in wardrobe beside it .As this is the only storage space in the white apartment and one thing I crave when staying onger than a weekend is to unpack a suitcase. On reflection if I revisited Budapest I would choose Green or Red purely from the location closer to the Jewish Quarters and a little closer to town centre when walking. But that is purely personal and no reflection on this apartment. As I would whole heatedly recommend Happy Home to anyone wanting a place to stay while in Budapest. The complete concept works.

Such a great stay here in November! The staff at the office were endlessly welcoming and helpful. The apartment itself is in a perfect location for exploring and has lots of lovely touches like a coffee machine, pinball machine, Netflix etc. Would definitely recommend . Thank you Happy Home

We had a great stay at Happy Home. Communication from booking was great, we arranged a taxi transfer from airport and were met at the apartment by a friendly host who showed us in and around the apartment. We stayed in the Green apartment which had a great location and was close to everywhere and not far from the hop on hop off bus stop which we used to get around the city. The apartment was clean and had lots of extra little details - pin ball machine, portable wifi, wine and snacks on arrival, netflix, toiletries etc. It was in a residential building which I loved and felt quiet and secure. Unfortunately we encountered a couple of problems which meant this is a 4 star review and not a 5 star. On arrival the smoke alarm was bleeping meaning the battery was flat - our host literally didn't know what a smoke alarm was, so after much explaining we took the battery out and he said he'd report it - no one ever came which meant we had no smoke alarm for the duration of our stay. There was a damp stained towel left inside the washing machine - not very pleasant! And the thermostat was set to the wrong day and time meaning our first night was stiflingly hot, we managed to sort it after this but these small details should be checked before arrival. Despite this we had a great stay, it was comfortable and a great location. We would definately stay again if we're in Budapest.

I decided to gift myself with a trip to Budapest for my 30th birthday and chose to stay at Happy Home Budapest (Purple Room). I am so glad I did this. As a woman travelling alone, I felt extremely welcome, safe and central to all the wonderful things Budapest has to offer. From the welcome wine, to the hotspot, to the clean, modern space, I can't say enough about Happy Home Budapest. Book this. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for making this one of my favourite trips!

Booking / Before Arrival: Upon booking I was sent an email from Happy Home with a welcome booklet with information about the apartment, location, details on taxi to apartment, things to do etc. I decided to arrange the airport transfer from the airport for a flat rate of 30EUR, this is around the same price is taking taxi publicly with the added convenience. Transport to Apartment: The taxi driver gave me a WhatsApp call upon arrival at the airport, a lady was also waiting just past luggage belts with a sign with my name on. The taxi then pulled up outside arrivals shortly after. Apartment Arrival: 25 minutes later I was at the apartment where I met the by another lady who showed me the apartment and gave me an into to the features. Kitchen: Fully equipped with dishwasher, plenty of cutlery, dishes etc, full oven and stove, everything there. On top of that (great addition) a few soft and alcoholic drinks are provided and snack. Perfect as my arrival was quite late and didn’t want to head out straight away. There is also a coffee machine with pods provided free of charge. Bathroom: Powerful shower (no tub), spacious bathroom with heated towel rail. Very well lit, improvement could be a small shelf to house toiletries. Lounge: Well arranged area, including smart tv with Netflix and YouTube, pinball machine, keyboard and guitar. Sleeping Area: Double bed with bedside tables, not much to add. Possibly additional pillow or two. Location: 20 minutes walk to the hotspots in pest. 5 minutes walk to the infamous New York cafe. 10 mins walk to ruins/szimpla market. Everything is on the doorstep, cafes, restaurants, kebab/pizza shops on corners. Buses and trains (M2) can be taken 5 mins walk away also. Perfect location although entrance is a little sketchy - which is normal in Budapest. Overall: 5/5. Very good stay and clearly the apartment has been designed with the guest in mind. Would recommend to a friend and visit again!

I would highly recommend staying at happy home. We stayed at happy home pink and it was perfect for our stay. It is a very clean and modern apartment which was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The apartment has a classic pinball machine, coffee machine, tv with Netflix, portable wifi device and complimentary snacks and wine upon arrival. The owner really wants to make people happy and he provides an excellent welcome book with lots of good information and recommendations. My only advice is if you are thinking of booking a happy home then dont hesitate as when we went to book for our september trip the dates were fully booked. We actually changed our travel dates just so we could stay at happy home and it even exceeded my expectations. I would love to return to Budapest and stay at happy home again!

Everything about this apartment is excellent. Upon arrival at the apartment, there was somebody to show us around and answer any questions that we had about the apartment itself or Budapest. We stayed in the orange apartment which is on the ground floor and faces onto the street (Estovos Utca). The street is cobbled and although you can hear cars go past, the traffic along the street is almost non existent. A corner shop is a 1min walk and within 5mins, there is a Tesco extra and a Spar. There are many extras included (dulce coffee machine, fridge stocked with soft drinks and snacks, bottle of wine, umbrella, pocket wifi, netfilx, pinball machine and musical instruments) with the apartment which made us feel as though the happy home team really wanted us to have a fantastic stay. The cupboard was also stocked with sugar, salt/pepper and oil. There was also washing up liquid, dishwasher capsules and shampoo to use. Just outside the apartment door there was a washer/dryer with had complimentary capsules and conditioner to use. Out of six nights, the Netflix didn't work on one occasion and this is the only issue we encountered. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was powerful and hot and the temperature of the apartment was easily adjusted if needed. Upon check out (11am) we were able to leave our bags at the happy home office (a 5min walk down Estovos Utca, located next to TGI Fridays at Oktogon) and then continue to enjoy Budapest until we caught our flight later in the evening. I wish there were more happy home apartments situated throughout the rest of Europe, as I would stay with them every time. To the happy home team: Thankyou for providing us with a superb apartment. We loved Budapest, but your apartment made it extra special.
