I have to admit that I was hesitant to travel to the Osa Peninsula (I’m a big surfer, and if I’m flying anywhere, there better be waves!), however once we arrived to Tres Palmas my mind had completely changed. From the moment we touched down in Puerto Jimenez, I was excited. The ride out to the house was an extreme...

We arrived to Tres Palmas early in the morning and were immediately in love. The main house was like nothing we had ever seen before and you can definitely see the love and dedication that was put into creating this haven in the middle of the jungle. We had such a relaxing time laying by the pool, watching macaws and...

If you’d like a vacation like none other, “Tres Palmas” is the place. Starting from the moment you step out of the car, and walk down the steps into the main house, you are awed with the beauty. Your instantly looking out over the horizon pool, across the jungle out to the ocean. In the morning you are awaken to...

About the neighborhood
Jutting out from the southern coast of Costa Rica, lies the Osa Peninsula, the country’s wildest and most spectacular region. The peninsula is bordered on the east by the Golfo Dulce and on the west, the Pacific Ocean. It is more remote than other, more developed parts of the country like Quepos, Dominical or Guanacaste. The Osa is accessible by road, an five-hour drive from San Jose along the Pan American highway, or 45 minutes by one of the daily commuter flights. It is more lush and tropical here than in northern Costa Rica with spectacular wildlife, deserted beaches and virgin forests. Living here is for people with a little more pioneer spirit who are looking to co-exist with unspoiled nature. Much of the peninsula is still without electricity and four wheel drive is a necessity here.... more
