Interaction with guests: Casa Canal received no damages from the storm, we have had fresh water & power before, during & after the storm with no interruptions, we were fully operational using our 22 kw propane generator and had city water early. The pool & fountain are spotless & we are in the process of re-painting the Villa inside & out.

Our group of 6 adults just got back from a week (4/29-5/6/2023) in Rincón, PR and I have to say, that our stay at Casa Canal could not have been better. The house certainly met and exceeded our expectations. I was afraid that the advertisement info was too good to be true when I first found it, but in reality, truth won out! The house had everything we needed for a nice, relaxing week. The best feature for our relaxing was the excellent pool. The house has an open feel when glass sliding doors are opened wide - and with numerous ceiling fans, it was nice during the day. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner, so when needed, it was very comfortable for those of us who like to sleep ‘cool’. The owner and cleaning crew were easy to work with and were helpful with suggestions, and answering questions both before and during our stay and everything was clean and well maintained.
The beach out in front of the house is clean and sandy, unlike many of the more rocky beaches we saw around the Rincón area. The house is convenient to a few grocery stores and bakeries coffee stands and food trucks. It is within walking distance to the center square of Rincón and restaurants and bars which is a good thing, since finding parking spaces in town can be difficult. When I look back on experiences - I ask my self - Would I do it again? In the case of renting Casa Canal, I would absolutely would try to rent it when I am able to return to Rincón.

Nice, but lacking maintenance
Nice house in a quiet area but lacking some maintenance. Examples: no handle on the freezer compartment of the refrigerator, no handle on the door connecting the carport to the kitchen, accumulated dust on ceiling fans, very noisy bed foundation on both king beds, AC in living area not working properly, dishwasher not working, back gate has large gap allowing small dog to get out.
The beach access is very difficult, especially for seniors and children.
After our 5 day stay in October, I shared all of the above concerns and the manager replied “Thanks for your concerns, I am aware of all the items you listed…” He then went on to explain “being away for 6 weeks a lot of guests messed things up and I really have no way to fix them” 😳
When I rated it on VRBO I gave it 4 stars, but have adjusted that to 2 stars in light of his response.
Like stated previously, it is a nice place, but very pricey and definitely not a 5 star.

Excelente estadía
Amamos los días en esta hermosa casa, volvería las veces que tenga que volver. Limpia, la piscina riquísima, la playa espectacular detrás de la casa y de noche súper relajante para ir a ver las estrellas no tiene precio. Las vacaciones soñadas, recomendada al 100. Supermercado cerca, garaje y el faro.

wedding at casa canal
Casa Canal sets the bar high for its guests. Super clean and very modern with a beautiful beach 50 ft away. You will be hard pressed to find a more secluded location with such an awesome home and an in ground pool.

Amazing beach house!
We had an amazing family weekend at Casa Canal. The house was sparkly clean and well taken care of, the patio and the beach next to us were beautiful! We have created beautiful memories during our stay. Communication with Stu, the property manager, was great.

Perfect Stay
Casa Canal is one of the best places to stay in Rincón. We have been staying there for a few years to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and just for a weekend get away with my boyfriend. The house is perfectly located, and we love the privacy of the beach. House is at a corner and the beach is almost private. Stu is an excellent host. Always available and friendly. The house is always stunning! Cleanliness is perfect, the kitchen, the gazebos (2) the pool everything is perfect for family get aways or parties. Can’t way to go back! Love it there!

Absolutely awesome place and kindhearted owner; beautiful beach views
The house is exactly as pictured and it is truly an oasis. My fiancé and I and our 5 boys (ages 6-16) stayed here spring break - 3/14-3/19/2020. The house - clean, full of conveniences, the pool 3ft to 6ft, outside BBQ grill, and 30 ft to a semi-private beautiful beach area. Beautiful landscape, quiet neighborhood. More important than all of this I would like to share my story of interacting with Stu. As you all are aware, COVID-19 has interrupted many travel plans. During our stay - Puerto Rico was placed on a 9pm curfew and there were rumors circulating that the airport may shut down. As we also have heard, hand sanitizers selling are selling for $50 and numerous other examples of price gouging has become commonplace. However, when we were faced with the possibility that our plane might be cancelled, Stu offered to extend our stay at a fraction of the daily rate. I mention this because it was an act of selflessness during a time when the world is in need of kindness and reveals a lot about Stu's integrity. Fortunately we were able to return home as planned but on top of an absolutely wonderful place to stay Stu - the manager, and Millie the house keeper are wonderful reminders of what humankind can be. Hands down, we would book Casa Canal again and again

Backyard Bliss!
The back yard is truly the gem of this place, it's just gorgeous with sunset/beach views, pool, bar, kitchen, showers, bathrooms, etc... The inside is tastefully decorated with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms (there are 2 half bathrooms outside, so 2 full/3 half all together). It was clean and has everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen utensils, appliances, etc. And how fun is the pink color!! With a few tweaks, it will receive an "excellent".
Things to consider: ask if the home can be cooled off for your arrival, if you need extra towels they are in the closet upstairs (didn't realize until the last day), citronella candles would be nice, it takes a bit to figure out the a/c, fan, and light switches, there is beach access if you're nimble, I was fine maneuvering my way around the rocks but a few of my friends were not. Stairs there would be ideal! Don't worry about all the rules, just be respectful and enjoy!!

Rincon is known as the town of beautiful sunsets and from its location on the western coastline of Puerto Rico this little town enjoys glorious sunsets each and every day. Rincon has over 8 miles of elegant beachfront and is a popular winter resort for surfers. The beaches range from populous to secluded and untouched.
Beachfront holiday abodes are found at Playa en Rincon and Centro Puntas. This area along the western coast of Puerto Rico has remained remarkably free of development to this point and offers a quirky and laid back alternative to the mega-resorts and high-rise condominium projects that have taken over much of the rest of the beachfront in other areas of the island.
Rincon is located on a peninsula so its northern shores are open to the Atlantic and the surf that rolls into those shores is usually large and rolling. The south side of the peninsula, however, is open to the Caribbean and the swell that comes up to the shore is much calmer. The northern beaches are more developed and most of the larger resorts, hotels and restaurants are located here. The bays at Centro Puntas are well known worldwide for their surf, and with that surf culture there comes a wild and exciting nightlife experience as well. Further south the beaches get more tranquil and quieter.
The surf that rolls into the shore in southern beaches such as Las Marias and Playa en Rincon is wonderfully clear, sparkling blue waters that are a joy for kayaking, swimming and snorkeling. Beach sports are popular in some areas but there are many secluded stretches of beach that are perfect for a romantic moment.
The best part of Rincon from all of these beaches there are wonderful views of the magnificent Caribbean sunset as the sun falls through a cascade of changing colors into the cooling embrace of the Caribbean. The town of Rincon is quite small, but large enough to offer a nice blend of restaurants and hotels.

Take #26 from the airport towards San Juan, then the #22 towards Bayamon/ Aquadilla, which is a toll road, continue on the #22 until it turns into the #2, you will come down a steep hill with the Aquadilla Mall & a Baseball Stadium on the left side, make a right at the Walgrens, take the 'T' in the road & make a left, stay to the right & you will be on #115, take #115, towards Aquada, Rincon, follow #115 through Aguada until you hit Rincon, take the #115 through town past the Surfer Statue look for the 1-7 store on the left, take the next right, into Sea Beach Colony, after you enter the community, make the 1st right & take Canal Ave until you reach the 10 ft Pink wall, come around the wall to the 2nd driveway & use the combo.
