San Giovanni d'Asso, Tuscany
A beautiful old historic family house with a large hanging garden and fenced swimming pool (6x12) nestled in the middle of a tiny village, San Giovanni d'Asso, in the Siennese countryside: the comfort to be in a village and the privacy of a place hidden at the sight.
Becoming somewhat familiar with the way of life here is an amazing experience Using the words of our past guests: "what a magnificent home and what a great retreat to relax and enjoy the Tuscan countryside ! " -" your villa is beautiful,so much charm and character" "the central location of the villa is perfect for visiting the many hill towns of central Italy" -" the accomodations at la CONSUMA were better than we expected from the web description"
Villa Consuma is spread on 2 levels: 4 double bedrooms, 4 twin bedded rooms (in two...

I recently stayed here with 11 of my friends for our 50th birthdays. When we walked into the home all I could say was, "Wow!" The location was amazing among the hills of Tuscany and the home had so much charm. As Federica showed us the many rooms of the house we were so enchanted with bedroom after bedroom, quaint...

A group of us descended upon this villa in September for about a week. The villa is incredibly comfortably furnished, and the location and views are amazing. We kept walking through it the night we arrived and honestly had to pinch ourselves. We had magnificent meals at the table and also terrific morning coffees. I loved listening to the bells,...

We were a family party of 16 staying at Villa Consuma for a period of one week. Even tho we read all we could about Consuma before booking we were still not sure what to expect. It was beyond anything we imagined. A beautiful old family home full of warmth & character.Totally charming! Beautifully kept with impeccable grounds and of...

About the neighborhood
San Giovanni d'Asso is the typical rural Tuscan village: it lies in a not yet well known area of the countryside near Siena. An ancient castle, a Romanesque church back to XI century, a magic wood, wonderful sunsets make this place very special. It is a tiny village where you can find a bank, post office, supermarket, chemist shop, butcher shop, cafè, 2 nice restaurants. A beautiful spot in the middle of an area rich in art and history: Montalcino (20 km), Pienza(24 Km), Bagno Vignoni (20 km), Montepulciano (30 km) are just a few destination you can reach in less than half an hour driving. Siena, the town famous for Il PALIO is 40 minutes driving from the village (the Palio is run twice a year on July 2nd and August 16th), Florence at 1 hour and a half.
