Great accommodation, highly recommend 10 out of 10
We had a wonderful 2 nights at Lakeside retreat.
The accommodation was so comfortable, roomy and private.
The birdlife here is amazing with wrens eating out of your hand.
Garden is absolutely beautiful.
Thank you Charles and Sally for being such great hosts.
Only regret is I didn't book for longer.

Spectacular Gardens
Comfortable retreat surrounded by stunning gardens and whimsical artwork. Extremely relaxing to walk around, look at the flowers and watch the birds. Charles and Sally were great hosts, as were their 3 friendly dogs.

Perfection!!
Perfect is an overused word but in this case absolutely appropriate. Perfect hosts, perfect location, perfect peace & quiet!!

Beautiful and relax garden retreat
It is one of the most enjoyable accommodations I have stayed overseas. Charles and Sally are very thoughtful hosts with fully equipped kitchen and the house is in a big garden surrounded by plants, flowers and birds with a lake beside it. We will visit again if we go to Pemberton.

Lovely Stay
What a wonderful space, inside and out.
inside a 2 bed self contained apartment with plenty of space, large kitchen and beds very super comfortable with lovely linens.
Our hosts were very accommodating and there were freshly baked biscuits awaiting for us on arrival.
The garden was amazing, we spent quite a few hours upon arrival exploring the large garden and the native birds loved the garden also and would eat right out of your hand, the garden is a credit to the owners, Charles and Sally

Beautiful bush land retreat
There were 4 of us that stayed at Charles and Sally’s retreat. Their garden is a credit to them. Very cosy 2 bedroom self contained apartment is just perfect for exploring the district. Sally kindly baked cookies for us which was very much appreciated. Charles supplied kindling and wood for the fire.
Pemberton is a great little place to spend a few days.
Their garden is open to the public this weekend. They have worked very hard to get the garden ready for viewing. Tame blue wrens eat out of your hand although it is important not to feed them.

A stunning peaceful retreat with wonderful hosts
From the very first contact I knew we were going to have a lovely time at Lakeside Garden Retreat. Sally and Charles responded so quickly to emails which is always a good sign. We spent 4 nights there and could happily have stayed much longer. The accommodation is just perfect. Beautifully appointed and very well equipped. We loved the special little touches. Chocolates on the bed, home made biscuits, milk and cereal were there to get us started for the first day or two. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous. Although only 6 acres you could easily explore all the little hidden gardens for an hour or more. Sally and Charles were available if needed but other than that we had our own private retreat and just relaxed. The special spot was the little back deck where you could sit out and have breakfast and enjoy the view over the gardens. And how special to have cheeky little wrens join us on the deck and sometimes have then on your hand enjoying a little treat (proper bird mix that was supplied). I am sure quite a few of our friends will be booking a visit here and I know we will be planning a return. We were very sad when the time came to leave.

Peaceful stay with lots going on
Spacious comfortable accommodation set in a very large garden.Were I to leave it at that I would be telling the truth,but not fully capturing the experience.The owners have a passion for gardening.Passion used in this sense is much overused;it absolutely applies in this case.Plants and shrubs are laid out in a thoughtful and interesting way that does not lack wit.You can spend hours looking at the birds,who also come and visit you on the verandah.
Other places to visit in the area are also available.

Perfect for relaxing
We had a very relaxing 6 nights here. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous and walking around them was a delight. Charles and Sally were very helpful and we had an enjoyable stay.

Beautifully presented, private,impeccably clean, serene amazing gardens, delightful.
The cottage was beautifully presented and of excellent quality, a wonderful restful environment.Hand feeding the wrens on the balcony with a fantastic barbecue for a relaxing afternoon walking around the truly magnificent gardens. Such a lovely place to be , our stay was not long enough. Close to the township and sites to see around Pemberton.
