I have been coming to Villa Rasta for six years. I never miss an opportunity to come back and see the wonderful host Bigga and the community. This is the safest area in Jamaica by far. My guest and I walk the streets by the beach at night often. The food is always incredible. The villas are comfortable and beautifully locally made. I have brought over 20 people here throughout the years and they always say that their best part of the trip to Jamaica is staying at Villa Rasta.

Nice and relaxed stay in beautiful Portland
We really enjoyed our 4 nights with Anesta and Bigga in Villa Rasta. Our bungalow was clean and comfortable as prestented on the pictures. We had a side sea view and sea view from the bed. The sunrise every morning is breathtaking. Traditional/Jamaican breakfast by Bigga is really good! Don't forget he makes wonderful dinner too and Anesta makes the best cocktails. They know the area and have good advise on where to go. We arrived late and Bigga still welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at home. It's helpful to ask for directions in advance because not all GPS can find the place. There is free parking in front of the Villa. It was really nice to experience the easy going lifestyle and the positive atmosphere at this place.

Awful and located in a sketchy area
We booked Villa Rasta two months in advance and when we arrived we discovered we had been led on. The place looks nothing like the photos presented, they had no idea we were coming and we immediately felt like something was not right. We turned right around and continued onto Port Antonio. With so many safe and beautiful choices in the area it wasn't worth the risk and it certainly wasn't worth staying at.

Quench your thirst with Jamaica famous Red Stripe beer all along the beaches, bars and restaurants. Every 6th August we are the proud host our independence and the Gala and Jerk Festival. A place where major surfing tournaments are held on occasions.
Blue Laggon is only 10 minutes away a must see. While you are there it only make sense to go rafting on the Rio Grande.

How to get there
We are located 70 miles from Kingston International Airport. If driving through St. Thomas Long Bay is the next town after Kensington. And if driving through Port Antonio we are the next town after Fairy Hill. Arrangements can be made for you to be picked up and dropped off by one off our staff. JUTA our island trusted car service is also available if you are unable to rent a private vehicle. Various popular car rental agencies are available at the air port.
Once you get to Long Bay feel free to ask anyone of our friendly neighbor to direct you to our villa. We also have a street sign as well.
