Ideal for a romantic escape, or as a family retreat, White Gum Cottage (two-bedrooms - 1Q, 1D) has a full kitchen, living and dining areas with forest views, a verandah looking out to the forest and a toasty wood combustion heater to relax beside on cool evenings.
We take pride in the homely atmosphere, tasteful decor, attention to detail, and the personal touches of flowers, candles and chocolates. It is a special place to relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.
Situated in the D’Aguilar Range 620m above sea level, Mt Glorious offers welcome relief from the summer heat (nights can get quite cool even in summer – be sure to pack a jumper). In winter, as mists waft through the rainforest, warm yourself by the fireplace, with a glass of wine, a good book, and of course our complimentary port and chocolates.
Massages are available by arrangement. To extend your stay, we may be able to arrange early check-in or late check-out. Please enquire when you book. A porta-cot and high chair are available for hire.

About the neighborhood
Turkey's Nest is just 40km (65 miles) from Brisbane city, yet is situated in a relaxing forest setting, surrounded by D'Aguilar National Park. Our cool mountain climate makes it refreshingly cooler (approx 6 deg) than Brisbane in summer, and delightfully cold and misty in winter. The village of Mount Glorious features a restaurant and several cafes, a sculpture garden, and numerous walking tracks through the National Park.

How to get there
From Brisbane – follow either Mt Nebo Rd from The Gap (approx 25km), or Mt Glorious Rd through Samford, to the T-intersection of Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious Roads. Continue another 2km along Mt Glorious Rd to the “Mt Glorious Village” sign. Turkey’s Nest is 300 metres on your right. Note: the name Parkview Avenue which appears on some maps/GPS is no longer used. It is all Mount Glorious Rd. We can provide directions from other locations - please ask. Parking is beside your cottage. There is no public transport to Mount Glorious.
