Farmhouse
Naringal Homestead offers the perfect escape for your special getaway…to indulge, relax and get lost in time. Book the entire homestead for a group getaway with family, friends or work colleagues. Naringal is an iconic property in the Western District, Victoria. It is a privately Australian owned working farm, the current owners are 4th generation farmers, running a mixed enterprise consisting of sheep, cropping and tourism.
The Rowe family owned Naringal for 170 years. William Rowe originally settled at Naringal in 1841 and the original homestead site by the creek was thought to be built in the late 1840's. The original slab hut has been rebuilt and remains a landmark today, along with the family cemetery that was first used in the 1860's and is still in use..

Fantastic relaxing few nights.
Just had the most relaxing, amazing 3 night weekend at Naringal. 7 couples each had own bedroom and en-suite. This property has beautiful gardens, lovely spa and pool area, amazing entertaining areas, although we basically lived in outdoor kitchen/ pool area and gardens. So much more than we expected. Host Sally from booking was so friendly and accommodating. Cannot recommend this property highly enough. The guys had a great time fishing whilst we had some beautiful walks. So much history here. Don’t hesitate to book here. Believe me you will not be disappointed. Be a great place for kids too. We will definitely be going back. Thanks Sally and Allistair so much for a relaxing few days at your lovely property.

Perfect family get together
The property and what it offered was perfect for our parents 50 yr wedding anniversary. All the rooms having en suites, air con allowed us all to be in perfect luxury. The house is so big it's like being in your own personal hotel. We had lots of kids and the pool and pool house were big hits.
Very highly recommend this property with Sally the host being terrific with some of our requests.

Relaxing weekend away
Had a marvelous weekend overnighter with a bunch of friends at stunning Naringal. The homestead is spectacular and in beautiful condition with all the mod cons and a ginormous kitchen/dining/lounge.
Took a couple of lovely long walks around the historic working property and all in all had a great time.

The perfect group getaway
From the moment you turn into the long tree-lined driveway, you can feel the love that's gone into this beautiful property.
We went as a group of six friends, bags laden with wine and food to cook so we could settle in and forget the outside world.
Sally was there to greet us with a lit open fire and showed us around the sprawling house, including a divine sitting room and massive dining room. We quickly ran around and chose our respective bedrooms (each with the comfiest beds you could wish for), and decided to use the main living room for dining. Oh but wait ... what about the adjacent entertainment room? A modern glass house with fully equipped kitchen and barbecue? So many choices, so little time. We tried to make use of everything this beautiful place has to offer, but would have loved at least one more day/night to enjoy. We managed to get two long walks in, one direction through the green rolling hills, the other to explore the piggery and fantasise about being lords of the land. We truly loved every second of our stay.

Amazing country stay combining luxury and authenticity
Not only is the house and its surrounds (pool and tennis court) fabulous, but the property is a fantastic place to explore, with lots of trails and points of interest such as the old cemetery and the working piggery.
And Sally is a fantastic host. We can't wait to go back.
Please note: I am a travel journalist and was hosted by Naringal. But this is my honest, independent opinion.
