Set in a quiet, safe and leafy area within walking distance to the City centre, this wonderful town house is everything you could wish for. The owners are extremely helpful, and respond to emails within an hour or two, allowing for the time difference. They have thought of absolutely everything when they refurbished the property a few years ago. Their attention to detail is something we have not come across in any other self catering accommodation we have seen, and their generosity with the 'welcome pack' was way beyond our expectation. Guests also have the use of their fully stocked store cupboard during their stay. Although the location is quiet, the extensive facilities in Hutt Street are only 100 metres or so away. These include supermarket, liquor store, bars and numerous quality restaurants. The free bus into the city centre, which runs every 15 minutes on weekdays is just at the end of the road, on Hutt Street. Thank you for allowing to stay in your house, we loved every minute of it, and would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone else!

Wonderful stay, town house was in a great position, close to restaurants and city, we were made to feel at home, tastefully furnished with touches of class. Very nice breakfast goodies provided, and the bottle of wine was put to good use with the birth of our grand son upon arrival in Adelaide.

Loved coming home to this townhouse each evening. Everything that you could possibly need is provided. It is bright, clean and airy and if we are ever in Adelaide again we would choose to stay here again. So close to the city and the eateries in Hutt St. No hesitation in recommending this property.

We loved staying at this apartment. David and Michael have thought of everything you could possibly need. It's nicely presented, comfortable, quiet and in a great location. We often walked to Hutt St for coffee and groceries, or to the parklands. I particularly loved the well-equipped kitchen, the food provided for our use, and the lovely big windows letting in the sunshine. Thanks David and Michael for accommodating us at such short notice and being so flexible with our stay. You have wonderful taste and eyes for detail.

David & Michael literally rescued us. We returned from abroad to find the completion of our new apartment was delayed & we didn't know how long for. We initially took a rental for two weeks which we then extended for a further two weeks. David & Michael could not have been more obliging. After several weeks away we needed a laundry which a hotel room would not have provided & the kitchen with all its spices & provisions which we were told to utilise were much appreciated. The accommodation was very comfortable & we appreciated being able to eat lunch outside in the courtyard when the sun shone. As we had previously lived nearby we enjoyed reacquainting ourselves with some of the local restaurants & discovering some new ones like Kin Kin Thai rsstaurant which we can recommend as slighly differenf from your run of the mill Thai restaurant.

My husband and I rented Thorn Park in the City for 3 weeks while we visited family and friends. It really is a delightful property. Brilliant location just steps from Chianti Classico ( best Italian restaurant in Adelaide ) and its sibling, Bar Torino, plus a plethora of other daytime cafes and a supermarket, pharmacy, post office etc. About 100 metres walk down to Hutt Street is the free City Connector Bus which operates a loop into the city via North Terrace, in proximity to the East End entertainment precinct, Art Gallery, Museum, Adelaide Oval, Rundle Mall shops, Peel and Leigh Street bars and restaurants and then operates down Grote Street to the Central Market (which in my view is Adelaide's No1 tourist attraction!) The immaculately clean downstairs area has everything you could want from a comfortable lounge area with TV and Ipod Dock, a well equipped kitchen with a very generous supply of pantry goods (spices, oils, magimix, platters and bowls), separate dining area with room for 4-6 dinner guests around the table, a gorgeous patio area outside with bbq, table and umbrella, laundry and a separate loo. Up the not-very-steep stairs you will find a very nice bathroom with shower, separate loo, a bedroom with heaps of storage space in the wardrobe and also a study which could sleep another person. There is also a private carport which was initially a bit of a squeeze to park our 4WD but after a few days and a bit of practice we were perfectly used to it. Thank you, David, for a fabulous 3 weeks. You have been most helpful and always available to answer our queries. We certainly were able to live like locals. I would certainly recommend "Thorn Park in the City" to anyone who wants a comfortable pad near the centre of town, especially anyone visiting from overseas who enjoys their home comforts.

This town house in the South East corner of the centre of Adelaide is an amazing place to stay. It is really convenient- walking distance to Rundle Mall and a free Circle Line bus almost on the doorstep. It is modern and beautifully decorated and the owners offer the guests free access to a very generous pantry. It also has a laundry with a dryer. Heated towel rails in the bathroon were appreciated. It also has free wifi and a security system and is in an extremely quiet area. There are lots of restaurants on nearby Hutt St and Ciante on the corner is a great place to meet friends for breakfast.

After 10 hours of driving from Melbourne being forced to listen to the wiggles by Mr 2.75, we arrived at Thorn Park in the City expecting a slightly better than average holiday rental. After all, nowhere could be this good, right? Everything about our experience here from David answering our enquiry e-mails nearly instantly while on holiday in the US, not wanting for a thing to be added to the pantry, 45 (yes, we counted them!) herbs and spices in the cupboard to Mr 2.75 getting many babycinnos from he Nespresso milk frother was perfect. I really want to give Thorn Park a bad review, but only to put our competition off so that we have access whenever we're in Adelaide!

This was our last stop on our Australian vacation and we were so happy that we chose an apartment for our last stay. After being in hotels, it was nice to have a real kitchen and dining room at our disposal. It felt like home right away. The bedroom was spacious with lots of storage, and the office was a great staging area for all our gadgets and electronics. The pantry was great, all the spices and condiments for real cooking and lots of choices for breakfast. We had to do very little shopping for groceries. And if you needed one, there is a grocery store right down the street. The location is wonderful - everything you would need in walking distance. Many restaurants (both upscale and casual), post office, grocery store and the park very close by. Also, excellent communications with the owners. This was a very easy and pleasant stay.

We were extremely impressed with this very comfortable and stylish town house. The location is perfect - an easy walk to all of the Adelaide city tourist spots but in a quiet area very close to a variety of good restaurants. It really is a home away from home, thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly want. If you like to cook there is plenty of inspiration in the kitchen and pantry. The fresh items left in the refrigerator for us when we arrived were very welcome. Highly recommended.
