Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. The Reef Fleet Terminal is located a 5-10 minute drive from the villa. The Great Barrier Reef offers pristine coral cays, stunning reef formations and tropical islands.
Getting around
A hire car is not necessary but is highly recommended so that you can access all the sights of Cairns and the Far North. Cairns is a great base for you to experience day trips to the Great Barrier Reef, Local Islands, Atherton Tablelands, Kuranda & Port Douglas. Car rental is available at Cairns Airport. Taxi, Uber and bus services also available. The villa is approximately a 10-15 minute drive from Cairns airport.
