Fantastic stay
Lovely place, very cosy and a great location with easy access to the beautiful loch and views. Nice walks nearby. The bed was comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A special thanks to Graham who also rescued us when our car wouldn't start owing to a dead battery!

A little piece of calm
Beautiful four day break in the wilderness of Scotland . Our second visit to the site and it did not dissapoint . Its 7 years since we have been to Loch Aweside last time staying in a big cabin with family. This time we were in need of something smaller but functional and Seil was perfect. It had everything we needed was in a great spot on the site ,close to the shore and not far from the path leading to Avich falls . The hot tub was amazing at the end of a wintery walk. The log fire was great for the soul The pure silence was heavenly, we didnt miss wifi at all and the owner was so helpful.

Relaxation
Great area, cabin close to Loch Awe, great for fishing. About a 10 min walk to community centre and village of Dalvich which has a small shop and cafe. Well looked after park and very quiet and private. Seil cabin was lovely with an excellent hot tub and log burner, which was needed as we were unlucky with the weather. Good selection of books and dvds for those rainy days.. comfortable enough bed and sitting area with little extras in kitchen like washing up liquid, sauce and cooking oil!! Would definitely recommend for a relaxing or walking break away.

Hidden gem
This cabin had everything and more. The log burner was fantastic for those chilly evenings and warmed up the cabin beautifully. We also had a fire outside and watched the shooting stars. It was exactly what we needed and my twin boys 13 who are usually on their Xboxes really enjoy it too. The hot tub is covered which isn't shown on some photos, so even if it rains it doesn't matter. I would recommend this cabin to anyone, close to loch and secluded fishing areas. Boat hire was not on as the loch is so low at the moment but for £50 A day you can hire a motor boat and fish without a permit. Definitely try the cafe at dalavich shop the food is amazing. If you do need groceries from the shop go before midday! The social club is brill and the host Lauren is so welcoming and friendly. Dog friendly aswell!!. Try this place you won't be disappointed ❤

Lovely cabin in a peaceful setting
I visited with my boyfriend and dog on a rainy and cold weekend in February to escape the greyness of Glasgow. Although the weather was rubbish, the walks were still lovely, and the hot tub was made nicer by the fact it was snowing when we were in there! We will definitely be coming back :)

Summer 2018 weekend away
As a group of 9 we chose to stay at Seil and Strae cabins for a relaxing weekend away. The weather was on our side and the location was absolutely stunning. The road to get in is an hour on single track roads but it was no bother and nice to be in a more remote location! The cabins were clean and nicely decorated! It’s not often you go on holiday and the bed is comfier than the one you have at home but this was the case on this trip! Although there was a technical issue with the hot tub we had booked the owners were lovely and got the issue cleared up and the amount for it refunded even though we did have it to use the second day. The loch was very mild and we were able to spend time swimming in it. The local Scottish midgies were in their element so remember some Avon skin so soft 😂 I’d be more than happy to stay here again!

Great place to get away and relax.
Great cabin. Nice and clean with everything you need. View of Loch from decking. Great to sit out on. Hot tub is a real bonus. Greta Forest walks nearby and friendly local shop/café within walking distance. Will be even better when bar/restaurant re opens. No need to go anywhere.

Fantastic place
What a treat to stay in such a hideaway. Wild birds and not a sound at night. The well presented cabin has everything you need. A home from home. Clean bed linen and towels. Well behaved dogs welcome what more do you need. I would not hesitate to book again. Simply fantastic countryside.

Short break with friends
I visited this cabin with friends in October 2015. We were fortunate enough to have perfect autumnal weather, which made the loch and surrounding countryside even more spectacular. It is a very peaceful location and would be perfect for anyone wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, especially if you enjoy walking, fishing or cycling. The cabin provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and was lovely and cosy in the evenings after long walks and adventures. The cabin has a good sized bathroom, comfortable beds and benefits from an entrance porch which allows more space for luggage and boots. We all really enjoyed our stay and would like to visit again in summer months to take advantage of the outdoor space for BBQs and use the hot tub. I would recommend this cabin to others who have a love for rustic outdoors, I can't wait to return!

About the neighborhood
This unique location was created by the forestry commission as a place of tranquillity, amid outstanding scenery. In addition to the peace and quiet of the log cabin locations the surrounding area provides an amazing natural playground with forests, burns, rivers, castles, mountains and lochs to explore and enjoy. The area has a proliferation of walks, cycle routes and local attractions and is a world renowned destination for anglers. We believe the wildlife watching available at Dalavich is as good as it gets in the UK. With Pine Marten and Red Squirrel common, Osprey nesting nearby, Golden Eagle and Sea Eagle, Red, Roe & Sikka Deer in the area,  and an unparalleled amount of bird life, we are truly spoiled.
