About the neighborhood
Surrounded by vineyards, St. Laurent de la Salanque is situated 15 minutes’ drive from Perpignan (the home of French Rugby). The village has a large traditional Catalan market twice a week and is linked to several Mediterranean beaches and neighbouring villages by a network of cycle paths. The village has an abundance of artisan bakers, wine merchants, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Spain, Andorra and many wine producing valleys are within easy reach by car, while the regional mountains, rivers, lakes and coastline play host to a full range of outdoor activities. The villages and surrounding areas, hold local festivals throughout the year celebrating the area’s rich history, unique culture and mouth-watering cuisine and superb wines.
How to get there
Depending on the time of year and where you are travelling from, Perpignan has flights from Stansted, Birmingham and Southampton. Other airports within 90 minutes are Beziers, Carcassonne, Montpellier and Gerona in Spain. We have had guests arrive by train even from Edinburgh. A lovely way to relax and view the scenery.
