Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine au gîte. Piscine, disposition des activités (Badminton, Trampoline, ...) parfaite pour une surveillance des enfants. Le gîte est très agréable. Mr et Mme Darchy sont disponibles et à notre écoute. Encore merci à eux. Nous recommandons ce gîte avec joie.

Nous avons séjourné dans le gite "Grain d'orge" durant deux semaines. Le gite est parfaitement équipé et la propriété est magnifique, bordée par les champs de tournesol. Les enfants y trouvent nécessairement leur bonheur: belle piscine, trampoline, balançoire, des jouets, de grands espaces pour courir,... Les adultes aussi, ceci notamment grâce à l'hospitalité et la convivialité de Claire et Jean-Marc : des petites attentions tout au long du séjour (panier gourmand à l'arrivée, fruits du verger, soirée astronomie,...), de bons conseils pour les visites et les restaurants, le prêt de vélo (et un siège bébé),.. Nous avons ressenti chez nos hôtes une réelle volonté de nous faire passer de belles vacances! Merci pour cela!

We spent two weeks here in one of the four gites. Ours had 2 bedrooms, a double and the kids room with three single beds. Both had air conditioning which was very welcome. The gite was clean, spacious and well equipped. We were very comfortable for our stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful, always on hand for any queries or advice. They held a welcome evening with wine tasting to share their experience of the local area. The grounds are extensive and well looked after. We all enjoyed the pool which was heated and there was plenty of things for the kids to play with and on. Overall we had a fabulous holiday and would have no hesitation recommending this property.

Fabulous two week stay with heated pool and plenty of 'green' space for children to run around. Bikes are available in all sizes on loan which we did, and explored the canal du midi and surrounding area. It is perfect for families with young children where you can keep an eye on them in the evening while sipping wine from the comfort of your terrace. Due to the fact there are 4 gites, the kids can make friends which also makes everyone's holiday more enjoyable.

Claire et Jean-Marc Darchy nous accueillent dans leur gîte (ou gîtes) comme des rois et sont à notre écoute pour tous nos besoins. Propres, fonctionnels et modernes, les gites sont parfaits. Les possibilités d'activités dans les alentours sont multiples (Carcassonne et la cité, Toulouse et la ville, les Pyrénées et la montagne, Narbonne et la mer, et bien plus et la nature...). Et si la paresse vous séduit, lézardez donc dans et au bord de la piscine ! Merci pour un séjour fantastique, reposant et ressourçant dans ce gîte 5 étoiles.

We stayed for 2 weeks, very friendly reception, easy directions by car, car essential for touring the area, lovely owners & family they made us feel extremely welcome, spoke English which was a great help!! The gite we rented was Le Coquilicot it was clean, fresh, had all the amenties you could wish for, plenty of crockery etc. The shower was fantastic, lovely and powerful. Claire left us with a welcome gift of home grown fruit and marmalade, which was delicious, we had it every morning with our croissants. The grounds and pool are fantastic and the gites look directly onto the them which is great as you can keep check on all that is taking place. The welcome wine tasting experience and knowledge that Jean-Marc has was great. Clarie & Jean-Marc have such wonderful children, and friends who made us all feel very welcome especially our boys aged 14 & 12 they were included all the evening activities, including songs and games. We cannot fault this as a holiday place for families, it truely is a majestical place. There is a lot to do on the doorstep, take up the use of the free the cycles and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Canal du Midi. Thank you so much for a memorable holiday at gites en-rouger. Excellent gite in a superb location between Toulouse and Carcassonne, with plenty to do inbetween the two. The weather was amazing the whole fortnight, up to 40 degrees some days, so the lovely pool was very welcome. The owners were very helpful, and didn't impose themselves on you - they were there when we needed them to be with good advice about the area. We would recommend Space City in Toulouse, Lac de st'ferreol and the Montagne Noir region in particular - beautiful castles and stunning views. But best of all has to be Cite de Carcassonne and the knights show - not to be missed, our 4 year old son loved it! I think he would've preferred to have other kids to play with but me and my husband secretly enjoyed having it all to ourselves! Thankyou Claire and Jean-Marc xx

Our family [including an 18 month old child] have just returned from a week at En Rouger. The gite was clean and tidy, well equipped [dishwasher, washing machine, box of toys, well written useful suggestions re places of interest and a very helpful map of the surrounding lanes and village ] and comfortable. There was plenty to do -swimming pool, trampoline, badminton, table tennis, swings. The gite is situated about a mile from the village and shops and a car was essential to enable one to make the most of the fascinating locality of Castelnaudary, Carcassonne and the Canal de Midi. Even a trip of about 90 minutes brought one to Narbonne and the Mediterranean. The abiding memory is of the genuine hospitality of the hosts, arranging an informal wine tasting evening, suggesting local restaurants and even letting us use their own bicycles for fascinating rides along the narrow lanes and Canal path and also to fetch the morning baguette and croissants. Definitely highly recommended!

We have had a very nice, relaxing holiday in En Rouger a few weeks ago. The environnement is beautiful, we made some nice cycling tours in the area. There are also some very good restaurants in the area (try the cassoulet), great price-quality ! And obviously, Carcassonne is not too far away, the city is a must-see. The property itself is well maintained, with large, fully-equiped gites. All we needed was available, including dishwasher, washing machine, airconditioning and wi-fi, we like some comfort on holidays as well.. The best however, was probably the hospitatlity of the owners. They were very helpfull and friendly, always ready with good advice. They seem to be very relaxed, and make you feel at home.
