We loved staying here. The house is small but pretty and the location ideal for a complete getaway. The hamlet itself was charming. My husband is a keen cyclist and he loved the challenging routes and scenery. We took our two elderly dogs who loved the nearby walks and the peace. Kevin is an extremely nice man, very helpful and...

Our second time staying at La Petite Maison. Charming little cottage, quirky but comfortable with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The hamlet itself has no amenities but it is only a short drive to the next village for the essentials. Ideally placed for touring the area; close to Canal du Midi and only about 40 minutes from the...

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2014 for a stay in August 2012

The cottage is a delightful charming character cottage, very homely with lovely comfortable rooms. While it is a rustic country cottage it is also well equipped with everything needed...

About the neighborhood

Bread shop, wine "cave", small supermarket, butcher and post office are situated about a mile away in Aigues-Vives, where there is also a bar and a restaurant.<BR>Beaches are about 30 minutes away, though a man made lak... more

How to get there
If driving from the North, there are a variety of routes, but we favour the A75, crossing the amazing Millau Viaduct and on to Bezier. From Bezier, to the town of Capestang and its port on the Canal du Midi. A stop at the Olive producers or wine producers at Cabezac, then on to the lovely village of Bize Minervois for a swim in the river, to Agel, passing the Chateau, before driving toward Aigues-Vives, but turning right before the village onto the D175 toward Paguignan.
