The apartment is right on the seafront of Ponta do Mel, an unspoilt fishing village that made it into the top 10 'undiscovered' beaches list on Brazilian TV.<BR><BR>It was a bar when I bought it, since then I've added another floor for myself to live in, and have improved the original house. It's now basic but comfortable, with an enormous terrace for relaxing in, or checking your emails.<BR><BR>The village is still off the tourist trail, so is very friendly and natural. The beach is usually deserted, and it,s a safe place to wander around, as violent crime is virtually unheard of.<BR><BR>There are plenty of small shops, and even a couple of restaurants within a few minutes walk of the apartment. About the neighborhood
The apartment is right on the seafront of Ponta do Mel, an unspoilt fishing village that made it into the top 10 ʻundiscoveredʼ beaches list on Brazilian TV.<BR>It was a bar when I bought it, since then I've added another floor for myself to live in, and have improved the original house. It's now basic, but comfortable, with a huge terrace for relaxing in, or checking emails.<BR>The village is still natural and off the usual tourist trail. For that reason the beach is usually deserted and it's a safe place to wander around, as violent crime is virtually unheard of.<BR>There are plenty of small shops, and even a couple of restaurants, within a few minutes walk of the apartment. And there is usually live music at the weekend.<BR>For an authentic North East Brazil experience, there is nowhere better.<BR>

How to get there
If you don't rent a car at one of the airports, the travel instructions are.<BR><BR>Get a bus to Mossoro . From outside Mossoro bus station take a taxi. (The cost to Ponta do Mel from there should only be around R$ 100.). When you get to Ponta do Mel tell the taxi driver you're going to a house on the seafront, two doors down from Nativus Restaurant.
