This is a lovely apartment, spotlessly clean and warm and cosy. A bonus is the balcony with a great view. A quiet and pretty location but not far from villages and towns. Eve and David were friendly and helpful. Would definitely like to book again.

Comfortable & conveniently located self contained accommodation short driving distance to St Albans and Harpenden. Enjoyed our private balcony in the sun over-looking the garden. Eve was welcoming and accommodated our earlier check-in.

About the neighborhood
Situated near the picturesque village of Flamstead, Ashleys provides an ideal base to either relax and enjoy the Hertfordshire countryside or explore the local area, being just minutes from the historical places and main tourist sites of St Albans and Woburn, and within easy reach of the historic village of Wheathampstead. Although Ashleys is on the outskirts of a village, it’s also close to all sorts of things, such as good shopping, restaurants and bars as well as theatres and live music venues. It’s easy to get to central London or Luton airport via local links to M1 and A5 or by train from local town. Buses run to local towns, there are village shops and two pubs within walking distance serving excellent lunches and dinners.
Getting around
Things to do Ashleys is an open door to the local countryside with fantastic walks, riding stables, Hertfordshire County Show Ground, local pubs and a wealth of historic and interesting places to visit nearby. The Roman museum in St Albans, Shaw’s Corner, Luton Hoo, Hatfield House, Whipsnade Zoo and Woburn Safari Park & Harry Potter World are all within easy reach. Larger towns of Harpenden, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead with all their pubs, restaurants and shops are close by too and the large Shopping Malls of Watford, Luton, Milton Keynes and Brent Cross are all within easy reach.
