The Sunflower apartment is a 3rd floor apartment in a block of three and is situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Mellieha in the northern side of Malta. It comprises of an open plan kitchen, living and dining, one double bedroom with en-suite, a single bedroom and a two single beds bedroom, a washroom and a bathroom.It is within walking distance to the restaurants, supermarkets, bars, banks and shops. It is only 5 minutes away by car from Mellieha Bay, the most popular sandy beach on the island. Public transport is also only a 5 minute walk away from the apartment.The apartment is spacious and very well finished and is equipped with all necessary needs one would require. Check-in is at 1500 and check-out is 1100 hours, but always check with the owner for flexible time.

To keep costs down please switch off lights air conditioners and fans off when not in use or before leaving the apartment. The maximum amount of electricity units is 5 units daily each guest. The extra units will be charged at €.25cents per unit
My husband & I travelled with our 2.5 year old Son & this is a lovely spacious apartment & we enjoyed our stay. The price was very reasonable for our stay too. The location is very good & about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the main road & bus stop. Then onwards to the right around the corner downhill to a choice of cafes, restaurants, mini market & general shops. The area of Mellieha is lovely & friendly & the beach at the end of the road/bottom of the hill (quicker to take a bus!) is lovely with a number of beach cafes/restaurants offering sunbeds at a reasonable price if you so desire (13 Euro a day for 2).
The apartment had everything we needed for our 10 night stay. A couple of things to mention are that it’s on the 2nd floor but there is no lift & quite a lot of stairs, thankfully this was not a problem for us. The bed in the master bedroom is creaky & although fairly comfortable we couldn’t move for waking each other up! The apartment has 2 balconies. One at the front which is long but narrow & one at the Back which is a good size. The one at the back had afternoon/evening sun but we didn’t use this much as there was building work going on behind which left it very very dusty & we didn’t want to always sweep up just to sit out for a bit! The front one gets no sun. Also there is a store on the back balcony with a few toys & beach things which would be handy for the beach to save packing bulky buckets!
The owner Joe & his wife are very friendly & Joe collected us from he airport for a reasonable price. We were very pleased overall with our stay & thank the owners. We will definitely return to Mellieha one day!

Perfect
The appartment is perfect for those who are looking for a quiet authentic stay. It is located in a residental area only a short wonderful walk to the center of town.
The appartment is big, sparkling clean and has everything one needs. ( Only the bed in the masterbed is a bit hard ...)

vacanza piacevolissima
L'appartamento è molto grande, spazioso, ben tenuto e ben arredato. E' posto al secondo piano di una palazzina di 2 piani. ci siamo trovati molto bene anche perche' i padroni di casa sono molto gentili e disponibili (anche per il noleggio dell'auto) e per il transfer da e per l'aeroporto. Grandi.
L'unico punto da migliorare, forse, è che non c'è l'aria condizionata ma un ventilatore per stanza.
Per i portatori d'handicap bisogna dire che c'è una rampa di scale al portone e non c'è l'ascensore.

Rapporto qualità /prezzo ok, ma con qualche accortezza..
Tutto ok, esattamente come descritto dai proprietari su tripadvisor, andrebbe però scritto più chiaramente che l'appartamento si trova IN COLLINA, e per giungere al mare a piedi bisogna percorrere diversi kilometri.
Da notare che la cucina non è collegata all'impianto gas cittadino, ma utilizza bombole separate (leggere piú avanti)
PRO:
- Rapporto qualità /prezzo OTTIMO
- Località tranquilla dal punto di vista della sicurezza (come tutta l'isola d'altronde)
- Si trova un ventilatore in ogni stanza, visto il prezzo così basso non ci si può certo aspettare un ambiente climatizzato.
- MOLTO VICINO al centro del paese dove si possono tranquillamente fare rifornimenti (anche di carburante)
- Due terrazze molto ampie
- Buona dotazione di elettrodomestici ed utensili
- Molto pulito e ben organizzato
- Ampia disponibilità di parcheggio in strada
- Linea wifi gratuita e veloce 24/24
CONTRO:
- SCARAFAGGI giganteschi che sbucano fuori da ogni dove nelle ore serali/notturne. Quando li abbiamo fatti vedere al proprietario si è limitato a ripulire quelli deceduti, ed archiviare la cosa con noncuranza.
- Il servizio taxi effettuato dai proprietari è caro e viene effettuato con automobili datate e scomode, abbiamo scoperto che per la STESSA cifra si può COMODAMENTE prenotare (a qualsiasi ora del giorno, ogni giorno) presso eCabs, che fornisce taxi con aria condizionata e macchine discrete a basso costo.
- Il proprietario, seppur disponibile e cortese, si è negato di venire in nostro aiuto fino al mattino seguente per il cambio della bombola del gas per cucinare, finita già alla PRIMA accensione a metà cottura della cena, lasciandoci come scelta quella di RESTARE SENZA CENA, oppure di ANDARE A MANGIARE FUORI PRESSO RISTORANTE. Cosa incredibile, visto che uno dei motivi per cui abbiamo scelto l'opzione appartamento era proprio quello di poter cucinare senza dover cenare sempre fuori.
- Baccano già dalle prime ore del mattino in strada a causa di venditori ambulanti che suonano il clacson in maniera inopportuna ed altri.

Thank you for staying in our apartment. Just some comments for you. Our apartment is situated in the village in a residential but very tranquil area. Mellieha is built on a hill and that is what make it so unique and picturesque. We have never said that the beach is within walking distance , but, if you read properly the description of the apartment, we said it is only 5minutes drive from the apartment. You should know that very well since you have hired the scooters to go around.
Malta does not have the system of gas as you have it. We use gas bottles. We are sorry that one bottle finished as soon as you started your meal, however as you know, we keep a spare bottle for emergency like yours. When you phoned up, we could not come straight away, but as I was trying to send somebody to fix it for you, after 15 minutes you text me to say that it was fixed. So where is the problem. As you said, we are always very available towards our customers. We have a phone which can be used to contact us, free of charge

Bellissimo appartamento
L'appartamento era bellissimo, arredato con cura, molto grande e in ordine. Si trovava in una zona residenziale silenziosa, c'era sempre il parcheggio comodo e vicino ci sono un supermercato e un'ottima pasticceria dove fare una lauta colazione!! E' un buon punto anche per raggiungere le spiagge che erano la nostra unica meta del viaggio, anche se Malta offre purtroppo poche spiagge accessibili e queste sono tutte nel nord dell'isola. Consigliamo Mellieha e questo appartamento vivamente a chi è amante del mare, meno a chi cerca un pò di movimento perchè vita notturna lì proprio non cè! I negozi chiudono alle 19 e altro non c'è!

Appartamento di nuova ristrutturazione, molto spazioso, luminoso, confortevole e pulito, è dotato di tutto ciò che può servire, nei minimi dettagli (sono addirittura presenti: lavatrice, ferro da stiro, televisore con decoder, modem wi-fi, telefono, svariati accessori da cucina e piccoli elettrodomestici); in zona tranquilla, è vicino al centro e a pochi minuti di auto dalla splendida spiaggia di Mellieha. Gentilissimi i proprietari e pieni di attenzione verso l'ospite. Consigliatissimo per il rapporto qualità /prezzo, particolarmente adatto per famiglie di 4/5 persone.

Excellent Apartment
We had a superb stay - 99 out of 100. We expect to be back! We were well looked after by Joe & Sylvia - thank you. The apartment ticked most of the boxes. The ones missed were (1) no sun on the balcony in late afternoon / early eve, & (2) the beds were a bit hard better than too soft & saggy]. Its size [lots of room], WiFi, plenty of electrical sockets!, its walking distance from the village, car parking, the quiet - these things were essential to us and made the price excellent. Ideally we would like to stay where the Pergola Club Hotel is, especially for the late afternoon / early evening sun. But at what price? I'm sure any apartment with what we want + afternoon sun would be 4 & 5 times more expensive. Also the church bells & traffic noise would shatter the quiet your apartment gave us. I guess car parking would be an issue. And may we emphasis the help and assistance [both before our arrival in Malta & during our stay] you gave us was superb and that was a major PLUS to us having a superb stay.

The apartment is situated in a quiet residential area in Mellieha, about a 5 minute walk from the Mellieha main street where you can find bus stops, shops, cafes etc. The flat appears to have been rebuilt recently, and is decorated and furnished very tastefully, with solid furniture, comfortable beds and a lovely spacious kitchen. Every bit as good as the photos. There are also 2 balconies, with just a slight glimpse of the sea from the front one. The whole flat is very spacious, was perfectly clean and all in all a very pleasant place to stay. Joe and his wife picked us up from the Mellieha interchange bus stop and provided contact details, information and a starter pack, also offering to give us a lift to do some shopping. Highly recommended.
